Rose Garden

Went to the Rose Garden (2/27) for dinner and they had no heat, it felt like it was about 45 degrees. It was cold even with a coat and gloves on. The Orange Chicken was all fried and very little chicken. Waitress said that it was cold outside, yes it was 30 degrees and told us to wear our winter jackets. It was relatively packed (8 tables + full bar seating) so I believe they are going out of business. Some people just left after sitting down, unfortunately we did not.

We ordered take out. The food was hot and ready when I arrived and there was no wait. The ladies who served me were very nice. The 2 egg rolls were sitting in a bag of grease like they were not drained at all. Grease was the main flavor so they both got tossed in the trash. The pork fried rice was just ok. It was a little on the mushy side but the flavor was good. The fried Peking dumplings and teriyaki steak appetizers were good and the Kung Pao chicken was pretty good too, nice crunchy peanuts and celery but it was not nearly as spicy as what I have had at other restaurants. I would assume if you asked for it more spicy, they would accommodate. UPDATE: I was wrong. If you ask for EXTRA spicy Kung Pao chicken, you get the same dish. Kung Pao chicken should be SPICY!! Still disappointed. At least this time the pork fried rice was not mushy. It was perfect. My boys loved the General Gao chicken too.

We have been ordering from this place for almost 2 years now. We order pretty much at least once or twice a month. There has been no problems at all up until about 3 weeks ago when I went to pick up the food go all the way home I realized it was the wrong thing went back told them about it the young girl behind the counter who seems like a teenager said she was sorry and we would get something free at some point but I'm still waiting for that other than that it's fine very good place
