Went in today for the first time, for cod and chips.

Excellent food and great customer service! We didn't catch the waiter's name but he was extremely polite and made our first visit very enjoyable 🙏🏼😀i wish every restaurant /cafe /bar had such a nice atmosphere and outstanding customer service!

5 star service in a very small Café under the arches of Southend Pier. There is no toilet due to location, but there are some across the road in Adventure Island.
The fish and chips were delicious and for a change relatively inexpensive! Whoop Whoop!
The noise of the traffic outside can spoil the atmosphere, but staff are not at fault for this.
We'll definitely be back at some point 👍

Nice fish and chips but a word of warning to fellow Northeners, the "large" cod is the same size as our standard ones.

Really welcoming and freindly, attentive staff... The omelette was not all that and can't comment on the rest of there food but the kind nature of the staff far outweighed anything else. Lovely vibe on a Saturday evening as the sun sets! Not that you can see it but still...and the noise of them flash car's the youngsters fly past in can be loud if you have kids. I didn't mind it...

Lovely food and very polite staff, meals weren't too expensive. unfortunately no toilets on site there are public toilets outside which are shared between all the establishments which were filthy this is not the restaurants fault

I have visited this cafe once every now and then for many years. I can trust the food, there's always a smile for me, and the best hot chocolate you can buy (well, so says my daughter, I prefer a nice cup of tea.) The prices are great and, somehow, it always seems peaceful in amongst the racket of the seafront. I don't really want to write a review, I want it to remain a hidden gem, but if you are passing, it is well worth a visit.

Best little place in town!!! Staff and owner very friendly and welcoming... food is great... seafood platter for 2 upon request is amazing!!! No longer on menu but do ask if it’s available... brings us back here every year... Thanks...
