Pulp Kitchen 2021

Eye catching shop to begin with, very friendly shop owners/chef/barristers, menu includes sandwiches, toasties, wraps, burgers, salads and breakfasts for both meat lovers to vegetarians/vegans. I tried their Croque Madam and it was yummy with every bite, great quality ingredients and cooked just perfectly. A must not missed out gem in Southend. Update on 17-May (Photo 3 & 4) Visited again on Sunday, and tried out the Buddha Bowl with an extra pouched egg on top. It is packed with perfectly diced salad, creamy avocado and a homemade sauce. The balance of crunchiness and creaminess of the mix melts in the mouth. It is a bowl of absolute goodness that each bite I could feel my body loving what's going into it. It is a good size bowl to empty, but totally energising without feeling like stuffed and sleepy. A winner again! Can't wait for my next visit!

Being vegan/veggie/pescetarian , there were plenty of option for us as a couple. I opted for an omelette with salmon, spinach, cheese and mushrooms including side salad and my partner had veggie burger with chunky chips. We had home made berry smoothie and oat latte for our drinks which came to around £40. We found this very acceptable for what we received. After a short wait we dined outside, the food was sublime and plentiful (the balsamic glaze on the salad was a welcome touch!). We sat at a table in the wide side alley which was nice and watched the world go by along the main road. The proprietor played some jazzy blues out the window and was the perfect attentive host. A small but atmospheric interior with added seating in the basement (which we didn't see) along with a roomy clean bathroom made it the perfect late lunch. Went to brunch with a friend. After ordering at the till our order was ready in 15 mins which was quick and great ! Loved the food and there are plenty options for everyone to have something. Loved the atmosphere and the seating outside! Also I really liked the coffee here. Will definitely visit here again when I visit south-end. Thank you for the great food!

Was stunned to find this place on my day trip to southend. Pulp is my favourite band, so obviously fell in love with the place after being named after them. But aside from personal bias haha, the customer service was lovely! Didn’t catch the fella’s name, but his attitude and service made this visit a lovely experience! They serve a delightful cappuccino too, highly recommend!!

We visited the pulp kitchen by chance on Sunday 28th as we wanted to find a nice cafe to have breakfast. The pulp kitchen exceeded every expectation we had. The food was amazing, the smoothies were delicious and the service was amazing. Really nice genuine people who made us feel SO welcome. My mother in law is a coeliac - she spoke to them while we were there and they went through everything with her, so she knows she can eat here too for next time. So glad we found this place and if you’re passing definitely worth a visit!! Thank you!!
