The improvement of this pub, since the new landlady, Sarah, has taken over has been immeasurable.
The main saloon has a fresh vibrant feel, the staff are excellent, the beer amongst the best in Southwell and the clientele warm and welcoming.
It's what a traditional pub experience should be. So if you're in Southwell, looking for a good drink in a relaxed environment, put it on your to do list.

A friendly welcome from the locals and great beer is pretty much guaranteed here. One of those pubs where you can safely enjoy a beer or two without any hassle. Landlady was chatty and made the visit enjoyable too.
