Great little pub, off the beaten track in Gustard Wood, perfect for a stop off for fabulous refreshments and lovely food.
The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

The staff are fun, friendly and welcoming. Lucy who manages the bar at lunchtimes on a very regular basis is particularly good natured and we always have a laugh or two. The food is homemade by Lucy’s mum in the busy kitchen and her dishes are delicious and inventive. She likes to experiment with new and different menu items. For instance, she makes a lovely chicken curry, but then simultaneously offers an imaginative vegetarian curry using halloumi cheese, cashew nuts, spinach and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious... my ‘go to’ dish even though I’m not a vegetarian! Top quality pub food. Good beer, a large garden area and plenty of parking. What’s not to like!

Hi , I really enjoyed the food and I thought that the atmosphere was very good. The food took a few minutes to arrive but no issue.
I loved the open fire that generated a cosy heat.
The staff again were excellent.

Lovely location and great character. A charming pub. The staff are so friendly and accomodating. Nothing too much trouble. As for the food - wonderful! Great full English breakfast superbly cooked and plenty of it. Went off for a dog walk afterwards in the nearby woods and couldn't resist going back to the pub for tea/coffee and home made Victoria Sponge at lunch time! Excellent. We'll be back for an evening meal or a Sunday lunch. Thank you to you all at The Cross Keys!
