Kinkell Byre

We had our wedding at Kinkell Byre in August 2023, and it was the best decision we made. As soon as we viewed the venue, we knew we had to host our wedding here. Sandy and his team are amazing, and they were so patient and understanding during the Covid period where we had to postpone. Our guests were blown away, and it was the perfect blank canvas for us to bring our vision for our wedding to life. It was important that we had a space where we could reflect both our Scottish and Indian cultures (as well as cater for a large number of guests!) and Kinkell Byre surpassed all of our expectations. A particular thank you to Claire and Sophie who both made sure that our day was the most special day of our lives. They took the stress out of everything, were so responsive to all of our emails and questions, and also made us feel like no task was too big. Kinkell has a personal family feel with a team who are able to achieve exceptional professional standards. Stevie also did a brilliant job of the lighting and the compèring on the day. Stevie has exacting standards too and his attention to detail is impeccable - we couldn’t be happier with the lighting, and also how he ran the day so smoothly. The team at Kinkell genuinely care, and it comes across in everything that they do. Thank you to everyone at Kinkell Byre for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. The Chauhans.

We had our wedding reception in Kinkell Byre in June and it was the perfect venue! All the staff involved made the entire experience from booking to the day, seamless. They are always on hand for any queries and go above and beyond to make your day extra special. We had so many compliments from our guests about the venue, location, views and staff. Recently they opened on site cabins for guests to stay in. All of our guests took up the cabins and they couldn't believe how spacious, modern and comfortable they were. Not forgetting very affordable! We can't wait to try them for an overnight soon. If you are looking for a unique venue with the opportunity to plan a wedding exactly to your dreams in the heart of beautiful St Andrews then Kinkell is the one. Fantastic venue. Lovely views over the river to the north east coast. There were plenty of casual seats available. Staff is very attentive. Great place for any type of gathering. Penty of spa e if weather turns rain. Toilets remained clean and fresh all day, well done to all staff. Your efforts were really appreciated by all and helped us all have a great day.

We travelled to St ndrews for a wedding. A bit difficult to find. Better and bigger signposting would help. Guest parking on grass for a wedding is not the best and so l advise you drop ladies in their dresses at entrance first. Venue is deceptively large inside with lots of separate spaces. Bar is centrally located. Good wedding and reception venue with chill out and seating areas. Catering was great as well particularly the starters. Lighting of car park at night after event was none-existent. Overall a great wedding was marred by a few flaws.

Kinkell Byre is incredible! I've photographed numerous fabulous weddings here over the years, and I've always absolutely loved the final galleries. The location is spectacular! Sea views, country gardens, and the most perfect place for a spectacular sunset shoot. The interior has been made to look magical - twinkling lights and candles decorate a rustic, warm backdrop. There are so many options when it comes to photographs, no wedding is ever the same, which is fantastic for a photographer's creative eye. The cherry on top of this stunningly unique venue is the staff. They care. They will go out of their way to help you create the most amazing wedding day you've ever dreamed of. You're in excellent hands with this venue.

Kinkell Byre was the absolute venue of our dreams and exceeded expectations massively on our big day. Being able to put our own stamp on it and the amazing effort the team all put throughout in made the day and run-up unbelievably good! The day went in a flash but we managed to pack so much in and the Kinkell team all made it run so so seamlessly - an amazing job dealing with suppliers, timings etc. which allowed us to fully enjoy ourselves! We visited Kinkell in Oct 2020 - 2 weeks after our engagement and Sophie gave us the two tours over the weekend. She was so so friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a good initial feeling about the venue- we had it booked 2 days after! It was also the first and only venue we viewed in person! The Kinkell team were absolute superstars, both answering my many emails with LOTS of queries. Nothing seemed too much hassle and they always responded super quick! A massive help was also Claire on the day who was like my third bridesmaid! Sorting my veil, decorating the cake, feeding me Prosecco when I was freaking out before going down the aisle and making sure we were ready for key photos/timings like the sparkler shot!  Tegan was fab as well who had the not so lovely job of tidying up post-party and gathering our items for an easy pop in the car on Sunday. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, we found nowhere else near comparable. Spoilt for choice with so many beautiful spots for photos too. We chose Kinkell as we knew if we weren’t blessed with Scottish sunshine we would still get fab photos - luck was on our side and we were able to get photos in the orchard, against the red barn doors, the sea backdrop and by the golf course. It was such an amazing day we’ll never forget. I would highly recommend Kinkell to all future brides and grooms looking for a stunning barn venue to put their own stamp on! Claire, Sophie and the entire team were amazing and super receptive answering all of our questions and helping us navigate the logistics of having to postpone. When it came to the run up and the actual wedding day, everyone at Kinkell were super helpful and ensured everything ran smoothly, meaning we could focus on enjoying the day! Stephen Leslie was also fantastic, the lighting really made for a memorable venue and he was great with the logistical help. The venue itself is so beautiful and we had so many comments about how unique and magical the setting was for our wedding reception.
