Called into Tesco in St Helens for a couple of bits and shuffled around on my crutches. When I’d selected my few items I found there were only a couple of tills open. Unfortunately, as always happens to me, I joined a queue where the young woman being served produced a book of coupons and after her items had been scanned, she then went through each coupon in the book to see if she had bought the item and then proceeded to tear certain ones out of her book very slowly, at the same time chatting to the guy on the till. A supervisor who was stood back must have noticed I’d gone pale and sweating and she went and got a chair and sat me down while this woman continued to take her time and have a good natter. The supervisor then put my goods on the conveyor and packed them for me until it was time to pay. If it hadn’t been for this supervisor I definitely would have fainted and I thank her for her help.

This is a very big Tesco. Be aware the car park has a time limit of 3 hours ,** on Rugby League match days this reduces to 2 hours ** St Helen's Rugby League sits right next door.

Usually fine and you can get everything you need but seems to me that the refrigeration issues are becoming more common so you can't rely on the place now to get a full weekly shop. Maybe Tesco need to invest in some new appliances? Staff are good, nice and spacious etc so plenty of positives 👍

Bought some shopping on Saturday afternoon and went through the self service trolley part. Of all the things to leave behind I forgot an 18 pack of Corona! Went back yesterday on a long shot they had been handed in! The lady on the customer service and rather security man were brilliant. They checked my receipt, checked the CCTV, saw that the person who came after me nicked them, and they gave me a pack as goodwill as they’d been stolen! Fantastic customer service and I’ll double check that I don’t leave anything in future. Well done Tesco staff 👏🏼

Typical well rounded Tesco Extra, that stocks everything you want/need a supermarket to generally & typically expect to see on the shelves with abundance of variety &various brands. Also as most people are already aware that the Tesco Extra stores are part of the leading retailers in electronics & technology device's with all the latest & updated gadgets, stocking the best & most popular high street brands. Stereotypically this franchise brand is a leading company with diverse range of products including dietary/food allergy alternatives, multiple aisles dedicated to various world foods and products and brands only usually found in the specific country, it's own Tesco brand (F&F) good quality clothing/fashion ranges from new born to your grand parents with all relative items being seasonally specific. The best service that Tesco Extra has included in it's vast range is it's instore pharmacy, so if you want me to summarise it in 1 sentence then, I will..... If you have all genres of shopping categories from electrical or clothing to medicine/health or food/drink and everything in-between (except specific specialist items) get to Tesco Extra, if they don't sell/have it then you probably won't need it.
