La Capannina

What a very pleasing experience at La Capannina Italian restaurant on our last night in Jersey and after getting soaked up in the rain after Battle of the Flowers parade. (11/8/23). We only did a walk-in and were lucky to have been accepted even though the place was fully busy. Fab, excellent service, with food served right in front of you in their trolleys, giving the Italian essence. Highly recommend: Lobster soup, Saddle of Lamb, and Tiramisu! The best. What we had: soups: - Zuppa D’Astice Homemade Lobster Soup - Cannelloni Alla Parmigiana : Homemade Pasta filled with Spinach and Veal Mains: - Saddle of Lamb The most tender and exquisite cut of lamb. amazingly good - the cranberry sauce with the gravy gives the perfect taste of sweetness and tastiness! I would definitely go back for this if I can. - Filetto di Manzo Al Pepe Nero Fillet Steak in Black Pepper Sauce - 4/5 Dessert: Tiramisu topped with strawberries After digestives: Espresso shot Limoncello The walls are filled with fine art also being sold and the place has a traditional vibe overall. What a wonderful experience my sister and I had tonight in this fantastic restaurant. We felt special and were looked after by the team really well. The food was fantastic but sadly we never made it to desert. They ( the deserts) however, looked amazing ….. next time we’ve decided forget mains and just have all the deserts. Thank you

What an incredible experience. The service was top notch. It feels very old school. They physically show you the specials, smoked salmon is carved in front of you, and they have a dessert trolley for you to pick from. My favourite part is that all dishes are meant to be family style. Everything is generous portions meant for the table to share. This is the best way to eat a meal in my opinion!
