Bloomers Bakery

I have been visiting this place for years, and previously, I used to go there daily for my lunch, before I moved away from the island. Now, I'm back, I go about 2-3 times a month. It's a family business, run by a husband and wife team, and they've also expanded to another unit, located near the French Street exit. I usually have one of their baguettes, and to be honest, these are fantastic. The fillings are plentiful, and the bread is cooked freshly in store throughout the day. Many times, I've had bread that's just come out of the oven. FANTASTIC!!! All this for a very fair, and reasonable price of £2. Crisps, teas, cakes, soft drinks are all very fairly priced. For example, a 500ml bottle of Coke is 80p!!!! You go next door to the Hallmark, and it's about £1.20 for a 330ml can!!! Like the previous reviewer said, you can get a lunch for 2 for £5. And for the quality you get, it's a bargain!

Great value for money, as must if you stay in St. Helier. You can pick-up for example - Cornish pasties, Cheese & Onion pastries, Sausage Rolls for less than a Pound. The also have freshly made baguettes and rolls, drinks and much more. A good lunch for 2 will set you back for no more than 5 Pounds.
