First time visit and very pleased with this pretty pub. Sat in the smaller of the beer gardens as we had our dogs with us, and it was a lovely little sheltered spot with the bonus of a cage of pretty parakeets to watch!
Bar staff were friendly and helpful, everywhere was clean and tidy, and the outdoor food was simple but delicious - the 6oz plain beefburger came with piping hot chips and a good dollop of fresh salad, while the scampi was crispy and tasty. Portions were perfect for a lunch, not too hefty but enough to fill you up, and prices were very reasonable for a country pub - two meals, two pints and a half cost us a little over £26.
The pub also has another larger beer garden down at the side of the car park, where you can watch the farm animals in the surrounding fields, as well as large play area for children.
All in all, a very pleasant find and will definitely be back to try the more extensive indoor menu at some point this summer.
Great food and atmosphere. Has a large children’s play area in the beer garden which is safe and secure. Very relaxed atmosphere. My son loves to visit the chickens when we go .
Visited during the bonfire night with my family and I’ve never seen it so busy before, completely rammed but the staff did so well!! Service was still fast considering, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful even though they were clearly stretched to their limits. They put up with some nasty impatient customers very professionally and one lady behind the bar (heard her referred to as molly? Milly maybe? Sorry - it was loud) was so helpful when I couldn’t decide on what drink to have. Overall lovely event and I will be visiting again soon - huge well done to the staff.

Enjoyable evening meal with friends. Good menu selection, food was good quality and well presented. Staff and service were very good. Busy for a Wednesday night, very popular with locals, suggest booking a table.
We had to book a last minute meal for 10 for the next day. Victoria made sure she got us in. The staff and food were great. We were so pleased as we had never been there before. Thanks all for a good night. I really recommend this place.
Have been a few times before and there is a reason it gets busy quickly. The bar lady was so helpful and went out of her way to accomodate us.
Refreshing to see plenty of staff especially in the lounge area.

Ps....the lovely outside tables and kids play area has had a revamp and the chickens at the bottom of the garden is a nice touch for the little ones.

Superb Sunday lunch in a lovely traditional pub. Lots of other diners, excellent portions and very tasty. Fantastic price. Will visit again.

Well presented and tasty, a little too much American cheese for me but it was simple enough to remove it, a cider drinkers paradise + lots of choice in ales.

Really lovely place for a family meal with children. My son chose to come for his birthday meal - all of our food was great and we all had a lovely evening for a very reasonable price with really friendly staff. Thank you we will be back again soon! 🙂
