They have a great lunchtime special, and I can confirm after losing count of the number I've had, it's still as good as ever.
Food has always been good quality and the staff are amazing, friendly and great conversation.
Always got delivery drivers in there so they must be doing something good.

We came in for chips and gravy. The staff very helpful and friendly and we walked out with fish, quid rings and skampi and our chips and gravy for a very reduced price. Good was fantastic as well. Proper chips..

I've been coming here since the early 80s, fish and chips are always great quality, and good portion sizes. During evening meal times it can be quite busy, but well worth the wait 👍

I just experienced a flavour explosion that left my taste buds doing the salsa! Those sausages and chips were so good, they could make the Mona Lisa crack a smile. And let's not forget the superhero waitress who was doing double duty - serving up both food and conversation with a side of charm! I hope she gets some well-deserved rest, but not before savouring her own scrumptious creations. A hidden gem indeed!

I travelled all the way from Taiwan on a short business trip with only one thing on my mind. Fish and chips from this place. Despite bit being late in the day, the owner and his assistant were only too happy to cook me a fresh portion. Well worth the trip.

Tucked down a backstreet in Heaton Moor this is well worth a detour. I'd rank it alongside Parkgate Chippy and that's my gold standard

What a little gem!! Called in as was in the area for work and picked up tea for the family…..3 very happy customers. Food was well cooked, generous portions and the Chicken & Mushroom pie was ‘the best pie ever’ according to my other half.

I've been going through a very emotional time during the past few weeks, and Matt asked about me while I was waiting for my order. That meant a lot to me, and I mean a lot. The meal was prepared to perfection, and I enjoyed it. It made me a tad bit relieved, thank you. :'-) I'll be back again. Best enjoyed with HP sauce.
