Was down from Northumberland to visit Chatsworth House. 2 day trip Exhibiting in a car show at Chatsworth House.
Big shout out for Adam. Excellent service attentive. Food excellent. Breads Naan’s & chapatti excellent. Mixed starter more than enough for two to share. Originally from West Yorkshire so know a good curry.
Really enjoyed our experience at Curry Cottage got a warm welcome and there was no pressure selling, the menu had a great choice. We took our own wine it was a good relaxing enviroment. We felt relaxed a great place to go for a leisurely meal and chat over a nice dinner.
Food was spot on. Service quick, possible too quick.I have never had my starter taken away before I had finished as my main was ready! Bring your own drinks as no alcohol licence
Absolutely spot on curry. Perfectly seasoned, really hits the spot flavour wise. No hesitation in recommending this place to everyone food wise. Really nice atmosphere in a unique building too. Driven past loads and always been curious. Very glad to have tried it.
have passed this curry house several times but today, I stopped and gave it a try, all I can say is wow, the food was absolutely stunning, We all tried different dishes and i have to say i have never had a Indian meal with this amount of flavour, even down to the pea rice, i personally went for the chefs special which was chicken palal, a little spicy for me but the flavour was delicious, couldn't quite finish mine so they boxed it up for me to bring home. hubby had special briyani and said it was delicious, staff are so friendly, will definitely be returning, Just remember to bring your own alcohol as they don't serve alcohol here, they do sell soft drinks only.
Whilst staying in Baslow for the weekend we ordered a takeout for delivery. It came fairly quickly and the food was nice and hot. The curries were tasty as were the poppadoms and pickle tray. Enjoyed the chilli naan bread the too. Would definitely order again and hopefully one day visit the restaurant to eat in too.
Visited to purchase a takeaway on the recommendation of our Airbnb host and we were not disappointed. The food was superb. The restaurant was busy when we visited, staff were friendly and the food was prepared for us quickly.
We will need to visit the restaurant for a sit down next time.
Excellent! This place is like a Tardis. Very deceptive from outside. Our party of six ate in their grotto - very quirky and intimate. Great fun. The quality of their food was very high, very flavoursome, plentiful, and served with a smile. The staff work hard for your pleasure. Bring your own Alc. from the Spar shop down the road by traffic lights 300m away. A great night.
I have tried several Indian restaurants in the area and accidentally stumbled upon The Curry Cottage late one night. I am so glad we stopped! Family friendly and very accommodating. Customer service was stellar and the food was absolutely amazing! Cute little curry house with great ambience. We will be back!
This is my second visit to this superb establishment. The first being with a group of friends and the second because sadly my wife missed the first occasion and had serious fomo (fear of missing out)
On this occasion I had the Handi which was highly recommended by our waiter “TT”. It really didn’t disappoint!
The portion sizes were excellent and the service was excellent with TT handling all our needs promptly.
We don’t drink alcohol, but its important to note that if you do this restaurant is unlicensed to sell alcohol and this operates a bring your own policy.
