Isaan Thai

I lived in Thailand for 10+ years previously and Isaan Thai is without doubt the best and most authentic tasting Thai food I’ve had in the UK and that includes London. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming which just adds to the whole experience. I would highly recommend this place and feel sure that once you’ve tried it, you won’t want to go anywhere else for Thai food.

A small, authentic, very friendly restaurant, with amazing flavours throughout the meal. We arrived after a last minute booking, late on a Sunday evening, for two. The restaurant was fairly busy with customers and only one member of staff in the restaurant. She did an amazing job keeping everything moving at a nice pace. We had a chicken starter each and was blown away by the flavours and presentation of each. Main was a delightful beef penang and a gorgeous chicken green curry with sticky rice. Both were absolutely incredible with the right amount of spice. A good balance of vegetable/meat within both dishes. The drinks menu had a good selection, from soft drinks, wines and beers. We drank lovely cold tiger beers with our meal.

Fantastic and genuine Thai restaurant. The staff are really friendly (which is a genuine Thai trait) and everything is freshly made to order. The food was amazing and just like eating in Thailand, and the Mango & Sticky Rice was perfect and took me straight back to eating it in Thailand. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and now we've found it, this certainly won't be our only visit. If you are looking for genuine Thai food, rather than something from a chain or what other restaurants version's of Thai food is, please try here, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. We came on a Tuesday for our wedding anniversary on the recommendation of a Thai friend; and so glad we did. Everything was perfect. I can't recommend the food, chef and staff highly enough. This is one of the few places that has ever exceeded my expectations
