I visited with friends and loved it. Friendly staff, wonderful food and a nice ambience. French onion soup, chicken with noodles and rhubarb and gin trifle were delicious. A very good house wine too.

Popped in for coffee last weekend it was busy if you want to eat here best to book. coffee was nice cake options were bit ltd very old place so odd layout had small outside space as well we are new to Sudbury so I had never heard of before walked past on off chance

Such a wonderful cafe in such a historic building. Food was excellent and the staff so friendly. Only down side was that its a bit chilly but I would guess as its such an old building its probably difficult to heat efficiently. But still has a lovely lunch.

Lovely restaurant. Visited for lunch and will definitely go again and try the dinner menu next time. Didn't have any of the dishes below but sure they would all be great home made food.

What a wondrous find! A little corner of deliciousness in Sudbury! We stumbled upon The Secret Garden today and enjoyed a beautiful meal in the charming garden, where the ambiance was Mediterranean holiday meets British quaintness.
The service was impeccable. The lady who served us (I forgot to take her name!) was friendly and warm and even recommended that we halve our order (we had clearly ordered with our eyes rather than our stomachs!) and her advice was absolutely spot on. They were accommodating when we asked for an alteration to the dish ordered, for which we were grateful. The the food was top notch.
The Secret Garden has become an instant favourite and we can't wait to return and sample the rest of the menu. Absolutely loved this cosy restaurant.

Had a very good evening meal here. The staff are very friendly and good at wine recommendations. Interior is the classic old wooden so common in this area. Picture didn’t come out well!

Fantastic find, we had lunch here with family, the homemade vegetable lasagne was delicious and the desserts are amazing

Our first visit here and we throughly enjoyed it. Beautiful building and a gorgeous little outdoor garden tucked away in a quiet street. The staff were all lovely and so friendly, our only let down was that there is no vegan option. Staff did say that they can make food to dietary needs but that we'd need to ring in advance. We will definitely be coming back.
