Alaz

I am a regular at Alaz and adore it but I really wanted to mention the new edition. The Turkish inspired Sunday roast is a fabulous delight. The most tender lamb or chicken with roast potatoes, shallots and other delicious vegetables in the best gravy EVER! Goes down beautifully with Turkish wine and if you know me well you will realise the margaritas are never far from my side!

First time here with my family, warm welcome, lovely cocktails, delicious food and great service. I was too full for dessert, do took baklava home - only wish I'd got two portions as it was wonderful. The lady owner helped me pick a glass of wine based on what I told her I liked and it was spot on. Highly recommended and we'll definitely come back. Well done team.

An outrageously Fantastic restaurant, service, food, atmosphere, and value for money are all exceptional. We recently experienced a 5 course, set meal with a wine expert explaining suitable wines, was a sublime evening and delivered by all in such a professional way, we can’t wait for the next one.. Alaz is a Sudbury Gem and highly recommended by us!! Sue and her team are exemplary, well done, We shall be back 👍

Wow. Loved it. Went a second time, some time after my first visit. The food was just as fabulous and delicious. Very impressed. Everything was well presented and tasty, with good portions and tailored for the numbers, all for a reasonable cost. Staff were polite and well timed. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, with nice lighting and good spacing between tables. It's an old building so watch the steps. Everywhere was clean, including the toilets. There's a reasonable sized parking area around the back and covered seating (with heaters) out the front. It's all one could ask for. Definitely going back again for a special occasion.

Warm welcome, great food. Extensive menu so take your time to choose. We asked for recommendations and weren’t disappointed. Lots of choice so choose well. We didn’t need starters for all, sharing was good enough. No desert although was a good choice. The restaurant goes back quite a way so do have a look at the bar area. Definitely worth booking. Service was sporadic at times, even though we were right in the centre of the service area, was difficult attracting attention as everyone rushed past us. Once we had a waiter, all was good.
