Also for the Pokémon people there is 3 Pokémon stops around, now people what else do you need. Food,drink and a job.
Another Wetherspoons ticked off the list.
Again, you know what you are getting with a Wetherspoons.
This Wetherspoons is split over three flooring areas, albeit not many steps/slope between each.
I liked the fact it was quite spacious between tables, not all crammed in like some Spoons.
The food was lovely and staff pleasant.
The only downside was the drinks service via the app was rather slow.
Certainly a Spoons we would visit again if in the area.
Alas, the beans on the breakfast were cold. Every location that we've been to (and there's lots) the beans are always cold, barring 1, the willow tree in Stowmarket. Is this an actual thing with wetherspoons that no matter where in the country you are, the beans are always cold.
It's a Wetherspoons, what more do you need to know. Good value food and drink. Used app as long queues for the bar. Snacked on some halloumi fries.
Good service, staff were friendly, & the food & drinks (katsu curry & Au Vodka blue raspberry with Sanpellegrino lemon) were very pleasant. The only thing was that they didn’t have any salt on the day I visited.
A very spur of the moment visit. Could not fault it. Pleasant friendly staff, food served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Massive plus was that we paid the same price for two meals with drinks, as we would have done for one meal where we were originally going.
Unfortunately it's a very solid one star.. because nothing lower is available.
The pub itself is nice however that's where the good points stop.
There's a long bar, but don't try standing at it as you'll be ignored! The trick is to stand in the middle and awkwardly queue back through the multitude of tables.. occupied by customers.
After being rudely told by a member of staff I'd need to move further down the bar to be served I was still ignored until the staff member working that area decided it was my turn. Now, having already spent 5 minutes queuing and being far ahead of those who'd turned up and begun meandering their way through the tables I was still ignored!
An absolute joke of a pub! The prices are cheap but most of the drinks are lower end. I'd rather spend the extra and head to a better pub brand.. which fortunately on this occasion I did just that..
Lesson learned, ignore the cheap watered down drink prices and head somewhere a little more upmarket.
I have never seen an establishment so turned around solely by management. Gone from one of the worst Spoons to one of the best. It’s my local now. Management and bar staff are top notch. Thank you!
Nice food excellent lads clearing table etc. Poor girls on bar were rushed off there feet. More staff
