Won the Tuesday pizza deal competition for me and my partner a few weeks ago. We visited last Tuesday. We had garlic dough balls for starter. For main we had half pizza and homemade wedges each. I picked Mexican style pizza and my partner had satay chicken with cashew nuts. The pizzas were homemade and they were delicious! Definitely recommend this pub! Thank you so much.
Fab place, great atmosphere, great food and a lovely pint. Had a great bsnk holiday, group n and the place was jumping. Get yaselves there. X
Not as out of the way as you might think and a great recommendation from the Landlord at Fitzys. Good selection of beer and a nice feel to the pub. We had already eaten so didn't indulge in the cuisine. The taps and poster in the toilet made me chuckle too, really had character. 😁

This may not be for some but it's was unbelievable. I had a Marmite and cheese garlic bread with extra chicken and it was the greatest circular dish I've ever eaten.

Decent local boozer, good range of beers and nice pizzas.
You want food. They have you sorted. You want vegan or vegetarian food. Not a problem, the chef will veganise almost any dish on the menu. Go on, challenge them, I dare you. They are total food ninjas.
They’ve also got a load of guest beers on tap as well as your usual suspects, so basically, they’ve got you covered on every angle. Food, drink, shelter from the elements. Hell, simply take up residence at one of the tables and call it home.
Almost forgot, they are dog friendly too, so fetch the best lad down and make a day of it.
To sum up, if your animal, vegetable or mineral, then get yourself down because all the other places come a sad second best to these beautiful people. They get a big thumbs up from me. And I’m one of those whinging vegan types, so I’m usually impossible to please unless I’m hugging a tree, blockading a motorway or burning some sage in an incense burner.

Very tasty food, excellent service, excellent beer and friendly to animals.
I don't mind this pub. Friendly staff and the food is top notch for a local boozer. Prices are good and they offer a selection of beers and ales

Food is amazing everytime! Used to go there every Thursday for the Burger deal, and each one of the burgers was delicious, especially the Francesca and the Maria (loved the idea of naming burgers after people, quite clever), and the triple cooked chips are just the best! Staff are dead friendly too, which is always a big plus for me!
Every time I go back to visit friends in Sunderland, I need to pay it a visit for some beautiful hangover scan!
