Great Cafe in the Seaburn district of Sunderland, handy for local shops and sea front. Warm friendly establishment with great helpful staff. Best Cafe has a great varied menu comprising of cooked breakfasts to assorted burgers and delicious crêpes and deserts. Great place for a stop off near the sea front.

Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Like the Doggy Diner which used to occupy the same site, this cafe is pet-friendly offering free biscuits and water for dogs, and dog sausages at a reasonable price. Nominally a creperie, this café offers a broad range of light meals. I rate this as a cut above other cafés on the same street because of the refreshing emphasis on good food rather than the usual sickly chocolate cakes and those overpriced liquid desserts that masquerade as coffee. An Americano with cheese and onion panini and, for the dog, a cooked frankfurter sausage with free dog biscuits and water came to a reasonable £6.
