In with a group, we know there's a corgage for your own drinks but they also made the small children pay to have their own water. Starters took over an hour and took over 3 hours until the bill was paid. Shocking service, food was average, tried overcharging also. Greed. Wont be going back to eat in or takeout. *EDIT* Against my own promise we gave then a try 2 years later and the takeaway was amazing. So they have redeemed themselves haha. Will use again

Alishan by the Sea Indian Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey that combines authentic Indian flavors with a picturesque coastal ambiance. From the moment you step in, the restaurant's charming decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The blend of traditional Indian elements and coastal aesthetics adds a unique touch to the dining experience. The menu at Alishan by the Sea is a celebration of Indian cuisine, featuring an array of dishes that cater to various palates. Whether you're a fan of fiery curries or prefer milder options, the restaurant has something for everyone. The aromatic spices and expertly crafted flavors are a testament to the kitchen's dedication to delivering an authentic taste of India. One highlight of the restaurant is their seafood selection, which is perfectly in line with the coastal theme. The seafood dishes are cooked to perfection, showcasing a harmonious fusion of Indian spices and coastal freshness. The tandoori dishes, including succulent kebabs and naans, are also a standout, showcasing the restaurant's mastery of traditional Indian cooking techniques. Service at Alishan by the Sea is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. While the restaurant excels in many aspects, it's worth noting that prices can lean towards the higher side. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it a worthwhile splurge for special occasions or a memorable dining experience. In conclusion, Alishan by the Sea Indian Restaurant marries the rich flavors of Indian cuisine with a coastal charm, creating a dining experience that's not only satisfying for the palate but also a feast for the eyes. Whether you're a spice enthusiast, a seafood lover, or simply seeking a unique culinary adventure, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant was busy, I had veg byriani, but all it was was only cabbage (which was undercooked & crunchy), onions & carrots. The rice had more of the cabbage in it. The Tarka Daal had bssn over cooked so it was like stodge. It had lovely taste but not texture. Portion sizes were enormous, which was wasteful. Can't fault the service.
