Fabulous 17th century building in the east end of Sunderland boutique hotel and award winning restaurant. Must stay in sunderland close to the city centre with enough to do in the area. Good for the theater or football events
. Will definitely be visiting again when visiting family and want a night out and dont want to drive. The food is very good and the welcome was warm friendly and very helpful staff....one of my most positive reviews so far very impressed....not the east end of old.

We've been going there for a long time now as it is a short walk away from a friends house.
Always fantastic service, really nice food and great prices. Sitting on the balcony offers excellent views of the city too as you eat. Can't recommend it enough.

Lovely meal. Very attentive waitress recommended 100%. Fantastic value for money. My husband, my grandson & myself went. We all had something different & we all really enjoyed our meal.

My wife and myself came here today for Sunday lunch and were very pleased with the service ,very friendly staff and excellent quality of the meal ,we would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant and will be returning in the near future.

Superb food at Volare Sunderland last night located in the Boar's Head Sunderland.
The fire pit outside is fantastic and a nice touch for drinks after the meal, just look at that the view 😁

Absolutely excellent, can't fault it for anything except the strange language. Lol
Staff really accommodating even carried our bags to our room. The pictures don't do it enough justice. Thanks for the break.

Lovely view of the river wear and Wearmouth Bridge. Friendly staff. Cannot fault the meals and service. Had Paninni sandwiches which were lovely. Will definitely return and would recommend 🖒🖒🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
