Lovely riverside pub, love siting there watching the world go by. Massive queue to order food n drinks but well worth the wait. Lovely home cooked food, fish pie was fab xx
Last minute booking. We were made very welcome even though it was busy. The Chardonnay was very good. The food was great....lamb shank for me, cottage pie for hubby. I liked the fact that, unlike most pubs, you can have fresh vegetables with most meals! The staff were all pleasant and friendly. It's worth the drive to find this gem!
This is a busy pub, popular with both locals and visitors. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We were quickly shown to our table and our orders for the drinks and meals were taken by efficient staff. As the restaurant was very busy we had quite a wait for our food but portion sizes were good and the food was carefully prepared when it arrived. The chips were crispy and delicious. Prices were reasonable.
There was no charge for mooring .
Book ahead as we were lucky to get in.
I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon here.
A lovely spot, on the broads.
Good food, good prices. Lots of room outside, it was busy always a good sign, the staff were, polite, professional, kind and accommodating.
There's a sign outside which proclaims open all day, every day, all year round. It doesn't surprise me. They have got it so right. For me this is going to be my go to place anytime I wish to while away an afternoon. Loved it.
A Great Pub in a Beautiful location . Fully recommended ..... The staff were very friendly and helpful . The service was excellent and the Meals were outstanding . It's a Dog friendly Pub .
Lovely spot on the broads to stop, we aren't really planning to moor here but found there was space when we arrived and ended up having a very pleasant evening! Stern on mooring and you'll want to use the mudweight.
Had a few drinks from the bar and enjoyed sitting in the shade in the garden watching the world go by!
We were able to use the electricity while we stayed which was also really helpful.
Lovely little pub on the river! Lovely friendly lady that served us. Enjoyed a coffee on the water edge watching the boats.
A well hidden gem of a place. Ultra friendly and helpful. Only stopped by for a great pint and a sandwich when on a long walk. What a beautiful serene setting as well, right next to the river. We sat in the garden on a warm September day. Loved it. Beer & food were both perfect.
What a gem we found. Everything about the Ferry House pub is so lovely, the owner and staff are very friendly you can sense the warm energy surrounding this place. They offer free parking and water. The food was really nice, you need a big appetite to eat their breakfast we struggled. The owner deserves a ten star rating . Big thank for a most enjoyable 2 days spent with you.
Right by the river Yare. Felt special as the service was perfect, Thank you.
I understand that everyone is different and their tastes too but I wanted a traditional pub that served hot tasty food at a reasonable price. Top that with friendly service and beauty abound and you have an ideal pub for me. I hope you feel the same.
We spent another relaxing Bank Holiday afternoon at The Ferry House with the added bonus of a performance from Lee Vaisey - entertaining as ever! Summary - welcoming, friendly, tasty hearty food, relaxing atmosphere. Also, easy free parking! It’s a regular haunt for us!
Beautiful stretch of river and lovely little pub tucked away at the bottom of the village, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Chips were amazing and godsend after a slightly cold and damp paddle down to Bargate broad and back.
