We came here as our usual drinking hole was so busy. We much preferred this bar. With lots of interesting drinking areas inside and a lovely beer garden outside, we spent a lovely evening in a pleasant and safe environment. The bar girl was extremely helpful and supplied me with what is now one of my favourite wines, Pinot Noir. We were a little cold as one or two of the overhead infra-red heaters weren't working, but this didn't spoil a perfect evening.
My friend gifted me an afternoon tea voucher for two and it was an enjoyable experience!
Lovely decor upstairs in the tea room, loved the paintings, and a wide variety of teas to choose from. We tried the 3 fruit teas and rhubarb was my favourite.
The food was brought in not long after our teas were served. Well presented, as expected for an afternoon tea. The mini quiches were my favourite, along with warm scones served with clotted cream, jam and fresh strawberries.
Amazing decision inside the old house but turned into a very nice pub. Nice people and nice beer garden.
