Ask Italian

Ask Italian in Swindon, Wiltshire, is an excellent Restaurant! We keep going back for more!!!! Its from a chain of Italian Restaurants. Food is great and includes an excellent Vegan menu, including excellent children's menu! The staff and chefs are all very friendly and helpful and we didn't have to wait long to get our food. Cosy environment and chefs are regularly keeping the kitchen area very clean! I know that because we always sit near the open plan kitchen area! Therefore so far we have no complaints. The Vegan Pizza's and Pasta dishes are very tasty, but if you choose the Chilly flavoured Penne (Arrabiata) its absolutely gorgeous, but make sure you ask for it to be made a bit milder unless you like it very hot & spicy!! The Raspberry and Mango Sorbets are a must to finish your meal! Absolutely delicious!!!

As a family we love Ask and money allowing, go when we can, and that's why I just can't give it 5 stars. As great as the food is, it is expensive for what you get. As a main meal the prima vegan pizza is never quite enough and is a little light with even the three toppings. Having more of course costs more. Staff are friendly and service is timely and good (early Saturday evening).

One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. For us, not familiar with some of the exotic italian dishes, looking at the menu can be daunting. But even the safe dishes are very tasty and very presented. The restaurant is clean, well lit and very modern. The chefs and kitchen are on view and it interesting to watch them at work. They are smartly presented and always professional. Staff are lovely, friendly and at same time keep their distance to allow you to enjoy you meal. I recommend this restaurant highly. Great food, very filling and pleasure to have dine there. The only criticism I have is that the bowl for the profiteroles is high and narrow. The image of them shows a flat chocolate top, where the top profiterole ... rolled away. Shame, but too tasty to let escape. Great meal all round.

My wife and I arrived late in the evening and we was treated like royalty. I was immediately impressed and when I explained that it was my first time in an Italian restaurant The manager took the time to explain the dishes. We had the prawns and the lobster dishes and WOW! It was gorgeous and satisfying. Thank you guys for a great experience and as a wheelchair user I felt valued and happy. My wife enjoyed herself as much as I did. See you guys again soon
