Gloria's

My wife and I were privileged to have been invited to a family get together at Gloria's. We have travelled to many beautiful parts of Italy and many times to our favourite Ischia. Well this restaurant just brings you straight to the beating heart of Italian life and culture. It has been so impressively fitted out and absolutely love those elegant tables. The food was off the charts, not only the presentation but the tastes, all was so fresh and carefully prepared. I tried a bit of everything, the pizza's are the best you will come across in Italy, the pasta sauces are created in such a manner, that you can tell exactly what ingredients are used. I don't usually go into such detail, but Gloria's deserves this recognition. Lovely wines and the best Limoncello from Ischia. We were also delighted to have met Biagio and the team, it is one big happy family. I would love to return and have a feeling I will. Just wonderful.

Spend an evening at this beautiful restaurant with two friends who’ve worked in many different countries and are used to excellent food. They along with myself could not fail to be impressed, food was delicious, service exceptional, warm and friendly ambience, would recommend Gloria’s to anyone. Try the La Schiacciatina Toscana starter ( Gorgonzola and Pear pizza), absolutely delicious!

My family and I have had the privilege travel all over Italy, we love it and consider it a home-from-home. Twice we've eaten here and twice it did not disappoint; we've had an excellent experience and I'm comfortable in saying this is as authentic as it gets. The pizza's are some of the best I've tasted and a very reasonable price, all cooked fresh. The small courtyard is very pleasant, the staff are pleasant and helpful, without being pushy. All-in-all, 5 stars. PS - I have to mention one of the negative reviews below concerning the person with children. Sitting at a restaurant's table eating food bought from Waitrose and then having the audacity to complain is incredible. Madam, if you are looking after other people's children, I trust that the parents realise how rude, bad mannered and entitled you come across! This restaurant or its staff does not deserve that kind of comment in my view, in fact, they clearly tried to accommodate you despite not being obliged to do so. I despair at the lack of self-awareness of some people sometimes.

I had a lovely joint birthday meal with my Mum and families. We were really impressed with the children's menu and bunny ears pizza were loved by the kids! The food was super tasty and of excellent quality. Big shout out to our lovely waitress and waiter who surprised Mum and I with literally a firework in ice cream to help celebrate our special day's! Absolutely lovely and authentic Italian restaurant in a quiet and beautiful location, the service was fantastic and the food was even better! All the staff were brilliant and attentive. Would definitely be back whenever I'm in thame again! Would highly recommend it. It's just off the high street with plenty of parking!

Absolutely amazing hidden gem in Thame. The interior is very glamorous and inviting, especially in the upstairs area. The food was delicious and very lovingly made. In particular the desserts were sublime. Service was also fantastic with attentive and friendly staff. Overall an incredible experience and I would definitely recommend to anyone who finds themselves in the charming town of Thame.
