Organised a lovely evening for me to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. Thank you for making it special. Will definitely come again and I highly recommend it to everyone.
I had my birthday party on Saturday 24th and the staff were excellent very friendly & accommodating. Everyone commented on how nice the food was. Couldn’t have been any better. Will definitely recommend venue.
We hosted a baby shower here today and it was truly amazing. Ian was very helpful and flexible with all the planning, our afternoon tea was incredibly delicious. Holly, their waitress even helped us setup a balloon arch!

Lovely food, big portions, good beer and friendly staff
We went here today for lunch. Never been before but were really impressed by the food and the service which was outstanding. Friday lunchtime and the pub was pretty full. We weren't quite sure of where to sit and a young fella came over, found us a table and brought some menus. All the serving staff were young, friendly and really smartly dressed. The pub was warm and welcoming and it's easy to see why it's so busy. We both ordered the steak and kidney suet pudding which was delicious, served with good veg and very hot. Good selection of real ale. An excellently managed local pub.
Went to The Cottage for their curry night, the price is amazing! £6.95 for the curry and £4 for the sides which consisted of 2 popadoms, 2 veg samosas, 2 onion bahjis and 1 naan! The curry was good, not the best but it was good! I had Eton mess for desert and that was good too!
First it's been a long time coming leaving this review due covid and a family death, so we apologise for that. The Cottage were simply amazing when we had our wedding function here in July. They were so accommodating, helpful and professional. The food was amazing, it was so tasty, beautifully presented and there was plenty to go round. They assisted with finishing decorations, were there to help guests and just wonderful. They helped make our day so special, it was such a shame it went so quickly! We loved the fact they were so friendly and down to earth, special thanks to Lorraine and Ian for being such great hosts, and the other members of staff who were so helpful. We would recommend the Cottage.
As always had a great meal in our local. Surf and turf burger with loads of prawns on top. Great quality food and a friendly service. Not expensive either. Well worth a visit.
Have only visited The Cottage as part of a wedding reception so couldn't comment on individual meals, but the buffet was very good, generous sized portions. The onion bhajis were excellent as were the meaty sausage rolls.
Staff were welcoming and cheerful and very helpful.
Food is always really good. Usually can fit us in if we haven't booked. Always friendly staff. Decent prices too.
Local pub off the main road in some gardens. The pub has a main bar area, dining room and large outdoor area. Small selection of beers including 3 real ales on hand pump. The food is outstanding: one of the best places in Norwich for British pub food.
I think The Cottage is a great place for food, and a relaxing drink. Top notch 10/10. It's not a rock N roll kind of place, very much a family environment but good place for a evening out. It also has a function room that is available for HIRE. The staff our always friendly. There is a small play area for the children in the front beer garden.
