Really enjoyed my lunch at White Monk today. BLT - Two big slices of bacon, crisp salad leaves and tomato all presented in fresh Italian style bread roll. Coffee was good too

Such a lovely place. Very old and full of character. Awesome quality food but the best bit is the prices are so reasonable. £3.50 for a cheese burger with salad which was amazing. And good parking.

Went to cafe after looking round the Abby (reccomended) we enjoyed our food. Tasty and great value for money. The staff were friendly and offered that we could sit inside with our Border terrier (poor weather)

Lovely little tea room a few minutes walk from Tintern Abbey. A good range of teas, coffees and all day meal options available. Friendly staff.

We popped into Tintern today after a lovely day out to Clearwell caves and the forest of Dean. We only went to the tea room to get some change for the parking at the Abbey but after walking in, being greeted very cheerfully and looking at the menu, we decided to stay for a bite to eat. I went for the Tintern burger. 2 locally sourced beefburgers in a good bread roll with Tintern cheese and salad, coleslaw and crisps. It was delicious and honestly the most tasty burger I have ever eaten. The meat was scrumptious. My wife had a bacon, brie and cranberry baguette which came with a good salad serving and the cranberry in a separate bowl so you could add your desired amount.
The interior is gorgeous. Really homey and interesting to look around at. I would recommend this place if not just for the juicy gossip coming from the kitchen 😁 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
