A great village pub with great food and an amazing range of beers, and also gins and spirits.Best kept Tetley's for miles around and Great Fish and Chips,Steaks and a very good range of specialswich they change quite often, the pub has outside seating and also a good size beer garden with the old blacksmiths shop adjoining it which can can be hired for a private function,we had our granddaughters christening here and it was great as we could have bouncy castles in the beer garden and use the old blacksmiths shop as well which i think can hold around 80 if we had needed it to just use without the beer garden.
Great affordable drinks and really tasty food!
Lovely home made food great service and locals were lovely
A real village pub. This family run pub in Tockwith is everything a village pub should be with good beer and choice of drinks at reasonable prices to some fantastic homemade food. Having eaten through the week, the sausage and mash was delightful with super creamy mash and tasty sausages. On a Sunday the Sunday roast is very good with beautiful cuts of meat and a good selection of vegetables.
This pub has a real village pub interior and fits perfectly into its surroundings. The pub always has different events on such a pubs quizzes and other raffles.
If you are in Tockwith make sure you visit the Spotted Ox.
Enjoyed an excellent lunch with family today. Good selection at the bar, food very good (particularly the belly pork starter). The landlord was very attentive to our needs and friendly. Will certainly be back in the near future and highly recommend to others.
Only had drinks. This is a great non tarted up pub that has friendly staff and all drinks you could possibly want.
A lot of hard work is being put into this pub by the new owners and it’s paying off. Six of us went for dinner. There was a really good atmosphere inside, and the live music that started later in the evening was well supported. The food overall was a good standard and fair value. The only disappointing bit was dessert. I tried that crumble which turned out to be an upside down crumble, which obviously doesn’t work - it’s a soggy not a crumble. I think that it was meant to be apple crumble, but the sugar content was off the scale (almost inedibly so) and so all flavour was lost.
We will go again, but skip dessert.
New owners are fantastic. Now serving food all day - good pub grub at very reasonable prices. Wonderful friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed by all the family. I really hope they stay and make this pub into a cherished part of the village again.
New owners are really nice and doing a great job. Friendly staff and good food. Eaten there a few times now with the new menu and it keeps getting better each time, pizzas are really nice!. It’s great to have the village pub back!
Nice people, Great food very nice Sunday lunch.
The new owners are brilliant and they've turned the place around in a matter of weeks. Doing so well hosting the Euro England games, atmosphere is brilliant and the little half time treat was above and beyond. You are a credit to the village. Hoping you keep showing more and more live sport as the village needs it !
Tasty beer, and steak sandwich yum.
