I love this place. Having visited around 15 times over the past 10 years. It has changed over time with numerous craft shops appearing in the Court rooms & multiple stores at the rear. The gardens and rose garden at the rear are well worth a tour. There’s a small church to the side of the Cockington Court which is traditional and beautiful inside. The cricket pavilion at the front is always a great place for picnics, or sitting on the slope to watch a cricket match or all the games taking place during good weather. The trees located throughout the Court are superb, well established and make great shade during hot weather. There used to be a horse and cart that would take you down to the Court from the entrance but may have stopped since Covid. Well worth a visit if and when in Torquay & near Paignton.

Beautiful setting to watch the different crafts people & buy their work. Particularly loved the glass blowing workshop. Great cafe too & some amazing thatched cottages. What’s not to love.

If you want a gentle walk around and a few small craft shops this is ideal
And there a pub if the weather is good to sit outside, have a drink and watch the world go by

Never expect this would be big, its nice family/friends day. The downside is the road is terrible. Its small country road. I would suggest avoid busy day cos you’ll be stuck in the field reversing.

Lovely, peaceful place to visit. We had a walk around the lakes and gardens.

Beautiful setting with very well kept grounds. Wonderful specimen trees, especially the magnolias at this time of year. There was a fantastic sense of the history of the place.
A choice of places for refreshments, although we didn't try any this time. The number of craft outlets seemed reduced and it was a shame the toilets in the car park were locked so there were only facilities for customers of the eating establishments
