Rarely do I ever find a restaurant that is hard to fault but this place was everything I hoped it would be. Fast service, beautiful interior decor, food worthy of the price charged. You also get a very decent size dish. The only thing I might pick up on is the dirty menus. The servers might need to be mindful of which ones they put on the tables. I honestly can't wait to come back here and try the seafood platter because it looked amazing.
I had a big breakfast here the other day and it was nice, coffee mugs were larger than average, poached eggs cooked perfectly and plenty of bacon. Only 1 slice of sourdough but it was a large piece.

We had the seafood linguine and really enjoyed it. Good portion of seafood, the pasta was done well and the sauce went very well. We also had the pork belly which was great. We were a bit disappointed with the mussels with Thai style soup. It was a bit salty and I imagined it to taste like Tom Yum but it didn't taste like that at all. It was salty and bland. For dessert we had the lemon cheese cake and that was great too.
Visiting from SLC, Utah in the states and have been in Australia for a week, I think we found the best breaky and coffee!! The views, atmosphere and service are great.
Perfect spot to watch sunrise and have breakfast. Ordered eggs benny and the veggie bombie breaky. Super accommodating for vegans. Was chuffed that they happily swapped out the eggs and cheese in the latter without any extra charge :) Only downside was the portions were on the small side.
Definitely a favourite place in Torquay, this fine establishment sets a high standard. Situated on the Esplanade makes parking easy and is obviously a prime location for the coastal destination.
Service staff were professional and well presented. The barista stood out with consummate ease as he happily went about his trade and set a comfortable tone.
The coffees that were delivered were strong and flavoursome with a slightly nutty finish. Only miss here was that the milk was not silky and produced a very bubbled froth.
We both ordered the smashed avo which was brought out in quick time. The meal was balanced, delicious and satisfying. The house mate Beetroot relish was outstanding! Did note that the poached eggs were slightly over cooked. And, I’d recommend a thicker slice of sourdough so it retains structure.
We ate at the Bomboras restaurant twice while we were at Torquay. The food was fantastic, the oysters were great & the marinara & ribs I had were both fantastic meals. My wife enjoyed her pizza & pasta too. There is online booking where you can request indoor, outdoor undercover or just outdoor seating. The staff were compliant with wearing masks & checking covid vaccination certificates. Nice selection of cocktails.
During the peak summer they also set up a pop up bar which was above the salty dog cafe. It was a great atmosphere again with a great cocktail menu. They also had a pop up beach kiosk with drinks & snacks.

My husband and I had breakfast here a while ago, and really enjoyed it ! Lovely coffee and food, with a great view. So we returned for lunch, and wasn't disappointed at all ! Friendly staff, delicious food (BBQ ribs ! Yum!) And lovely atmosphere 😊 100% will be coming back ! Thank you !
What an awesome place for us to have our brunch. Amazing coffee and the Eggs Benny was perfection. The service was so quick and the staff were so welcoming.
