Went there on a Saturday night and it was very quiet, which was a nice change. They had just started a new menu, so we got to try out some new recipes, and I've got to say that this is THE best Indian I've ever had in my entire life! If you get a chance to go there, you've got to try the Shredded lamb! If I lived locally I would be going there all the time.
Please don't change the menu again, because you've got this spot on now! :)
I ate at this restaurant on Sunday 2nd of September 2018. The experience was fantastic. The staff were amazing from the minute we arrived and very concerned that I had a crutch so were keen to make me comfortable. The food was fabulous. Lovely poppadoms with fresh and vibrant dips, onion bhajis were superb and the vegetarian main was delicious, interesting and innovative. I would highly recommend it and will return soon as food are service are brilliant. Thank you for a very nice evening
Crikey! Glad I've got round to writing a review of this place! I went a month or two ago and it is definitely not poor to fair (although I understand that different people can have different experiences with different staff with different meals on different days). Meh! enough rambling...this is MY review.
Went to the New Bekash with my bezzie mate on a Saturday evening and the food was lovely. I can't remember what I ordered but the menu had lots of variety and the waiter was helpful in giving us more information about what the dishes were when we weren't sure which to have. I cook a good curry at home but this one was well worth it...good taste, good value and a generous portion size. We were stuffed afterwards but no so much so that we couldn't have pudding which was just as worthwhile as the main.
The atmosphere in there is really nice. It's dimly lit which is what you want when you're chilling sat in a booth with a cracking good curry in front of you.
Being one to be conscious to avoid curry bum when eating at a new place, I ordered a vegetarian dish with a fairly mild sauce. In this respect, there's no shortage of what I call "wuss dishes" here but that said there is plenty of choice for people who like things hotter and meatier too ;)
I can totally recommend the New Bekash in Towcester and I look forward to going again. The Chinese places in Towcester should take a leaf out of their books and provide sit down space like New Bekash do but that's another story lol! :)
