Excellent Sunday lunch one of the best we've had, chicken and pork dinners, Lovely tasty and fresh. Lovely dessert- chocolate orange brownie, so nice. Wife had a floater coffee with tia Maria which came separate to put in as you like-perfect. Excellent friendly service and nice atmosphere, busy with a little bit of background music, perfect. Nice little walk afterwards and return to the pub for a finish off drink outside. Highly recommended.

Me, my partner and parents went to the Top house for a Sunday Roast. We all had garlic creamy mushrooms for our starter and it was absolutely delicious! The starter was so filling that we would have been satisfied with the starter alone.
For our mains, we had the Beef roast, again, a gorgeous meal! The meal was such a generous portion that we actually struggled to finish. The meal came with a giant homemade Yorkshire pudding, some mixed veg and plenty of gravy.
The staff were super attentive, coming around regularly to make sure everything was okay with our meals. They were warm and helpful and really made us feel comfortable.
I would highly recommend to family and friends to try out this venue.

Fantastic food, staff are lovely and friendly I'm always promoting this place however it's closing in August as the chef is leaving. Any good chef that needs a job contact them as at the moment she cannot fill the post. This will be a massive loss to the area, we go there at least once a month.

We called on Sunday after a walk to the local Chartist Cave with our walking group. As always we were given a warm welcome even though we just had drinks during a busy food service period. A lovely pub with a warm welcome. We all wished we had booked lunch as it looked and smelt wonderful.

Had family Sunday lunch today. It was beautiful. The roast potatoes and gravy was stunning. The deserts were well worth the money. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Definitely recommend and we will be visiting again soon. Thanks all at the Top House
