Greggs

Currently enjoying a lovely hot festive bake and a sausage roll in this store. Whilst I have been sitting here i’ve been so impressed with the young man behind the counter who has greeted every customer who come through the door with a smile and friendly chatter. Such a rarity to see customer service like this nowadays! Management take note- this gentleman is a gem. The lady who served me was also very friendly indeed. The floor of the seating area needed a good clean hence the 2* for atmosphere.

I was famished and I had forgotten my backpack, which had everything I needed to fuel myself. These people were closing when I went in. The lady was so kind to let me order and sit and eat before I went on another long journey back on my bicycle. She even offered something from their staff room and asked me if I was ok and satisfied. She didn't really have to do that. She could have said, we are closed. I appreciate such people, who might not have a lot of money and working for establishments which are not very high paying. But such people are gold, if they work for you. Value your staff. They are really nice human beings. This is needed more than money and business. Thanks lady!
