Visited The Sun Inn last night. I was at first a little shocked at price of £10 or more for a burger. You got to choose the type of burger, the type of cheese on top, the sauce, and either chips or sweet potato fries and additional toppings for 50p. The burger with onion rings on top of the sauce was absolutely huge and delicious. Well worth the £10. I had the Aberdeen Angus Burger, Mature Cheddar cheese, homemade Tabasco sauce and also a portion of BBQ pulled pork on top. Thoroughly full and well worth the £10+ Will be returning. Staff very helpful and polite.
Great atmosphere, even better beer and probably the best place to be for the football.
Great sports bar with seriously good food and fantastic service. We got loaded waffle fries & Mac n Cheese, both were great and 100% scratched our food itch & then some. Staff are super friendly too - we will definitely come back if we return to Ulverston!
We booked the basic double for 1 night. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, warm and spacious. Mattress a bit soft for me but we slept really well anyway!
What a great service we had at this pub, Ryan greeted us with such kindness helping my elderly Father find a comfortable chair. The food was amazing and plenty of it. All the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our evening here. Thank you.

I had to leave very early, and could not stay for a full breakfast, but the young woman at reception was delightful!!
She brought me the basics of a delicious breakfast in no time!!
And the room and washroom/shower, super clean.
Of course if you wish to open the windows one can hear somewhat street noise etc.
But i fell asleep quickly and had a wonderful rest !!

Wasn't expecting alot, but my god! It was a buffet of food! All very well presented!

Only problem was the 6tf seagul but we had 2 kids that made sure he was kept at a safe distance!

Room clean and spacious, friendly staff, nice food and good selection of beer. Oh and free car park. What's not to like!
Nice central location, car park to the rear, can't go wrong for the price. Room I had (No1) is spacious, it is on the front of the hotel so the takeaway lights are on all night, only stayed one night.
Spotless everywhere, newly refurbished, and kept clean by the hardworking and cheerful Anne.

Nice central location in Ulverston. Just popped in for 1 pint whilst staying in the area. Only thing that we felt was that locals were welcomed with more eagerness than visitors.
