The best place to taste sushi for a very good price! The best one was a deep fried sushi "Volcano" - with orange caviar. Definitely recommend to others. Will come back soon!

I adore this place! They have splendid meals, their menu is rich, The cook in that restaurant is very trained, I love a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the guests is helpful. I go often to this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Great food and friendly service. Whether you want takeaway or eat in the price is the same, great value for money.

Definitely one of the best Japanese places in the area, so good for money too. I usually get it delivered but thought we go in, great food as always :) really recommend the volcano roll and titanic roll, veg pad thai is also really good !

We had been hoping to find a local restaurant that served freshly made sushi and so I was delighted to spot Ding Dong when walking Upminster high street.
The decor is fairly basic but I would say that's probably the only negative to the place overall. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive. They engaged us in conversation; talked to us about the menu and were a pleasure to deal with. We enjoyed tempura and asparagus as a starter.
For mains we had a selection of Chunky Maki Rolls, Rainbow rolls and Nigiri. I asked to customise the rolls to remove avocado (as they were freshly made) and this was no problem at all. The food was tasty (maybe would have liked to have the Chunky roll a bit spicier as it had only a small dab of Sriracha). Portion sizes were excellent. They all came with pickled ginger to cleanse the palate and some decent wasabi.
We had some warm sake to wash this down and the whole thing came to £40 which is an absolute steal in comparison to prices in Central.
There was a steady influx of customers (both take-away and eat-in) and I think we will definitely order from here in future.
