Ist time here since it changed from the gate and what a gem of a place this is, we went for the 2 meals for £7 , a varied choice for this option, also for £1 you could add a starter, pudding or drink or all three as we did, Wasnt really expecting much due to the price but i must say the food was absolutely lovely, We both had mushroom soup to start with, i had cottage pie and my partner had gammon, then we both had apple pie and custard, pepsi to drink and j20, all this for £13, an incredible bargain, i would like to thank the chef and the staff at calder and hops for a fantastic meal and very attentive service. so looking forward to coming back on my next day off .
Had a fabulous night with group from work. Manager was very obliging, all staff very friendly. Good we ordered was excellent and served quickly. Live music just added to the evening and great selection of drinks especially the Gin.
Visited on bank holiday, close to food finishing time. Little quieter than it's usual busy atmosphere but made absolutely little difference to service and quality.
Both myself and partner really enjoyed our food. Ordered 2 starters and 2 burgers that was customised to our liking. Kitchen note must of been arm's length when sent through!! Chef (Raz) didn't let us down and cooked it spot on.

Great 80's mysuc playing (late Friday afternoon). Cheap beer and good atmosphere. Food looked reasonably priced (we didnt have any as we'd been out for lunch)
If you like the band busted , then this is ideal venue ! ....pretty sure I heard the same song of the band X3 in an hour 🤔 ...but great atsmpohere
Very friendly and helpful atmosphere. Good deals on cocktails and plenty of options for food. The ultimate spicy beef burger was very tasty.
Quality beer selection and a decent food menu. Service was quick and polite, the food by far surpassed what we were expecting. Quality for money leaving very happy customers.

Called in for some food, a nice place to sit and eat, music not too loud, but my tuna melt baguette was not very hot. Chips were great though.
I come for lunch twice a week with my dad i travel from filey North Yorkshire and i am so happy with the food and the service everyone is so friendly. Sean is very helpful and has always answered my questions and helped me with my needs. Amazing place to eat and be comfortable. Thankyou all staff at swan and cygnet especially Sean.
Polite service, nice selection of drinks. Quality music and excellent food menus. Portions larger than expected and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.
