Red Sugar Cafe

It's a small little place with really great food. We had crab rangoons, which were crispy and the filling was good (not the most crab, but still good); sesame chicken, which wasn't overly sweet but was very crispy and tender; and phat si-io/pad see yew, which was also very good. Service was very friendly and it seemed like tons of people come to get take out. Would recommend! Parking is tight, though...

The curry dishes are very tasty but at times a bit too heavy and rich. They add lots of tofu which is great but not many other veggies. Overall really really good food. The pad thai is super peanut-y and delicious… The reason for the 3 star review is that they often do not pick up their phone during business hours, or if they do pick up they tell you to call back later, immediately hang up on you, and then either you can’t get through again or they tell you again to call back. Very frustrating. I’ve had to give up on about half of the occasions I’ve tried ordering from them.

This was an excellent Thai restaurant. Very small and oddly designed (kitchen is open to the very small dining area), but the food was excellent. Ordered Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice. The Pad Thai was great with a good sweetness. The Basil Fried Rice was flavorful and spicy (which is indicated on the menu). I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area and in the mood for Thai. Note:. Small open kitchen means spice can be in the air. I would not recommend for a romantic dinner or first date. They appear to do a sizable pickup/delivery service.

Red Sugar Cafe is by far one of the very BEST Thai Restaurants I've dined at. Being a lover of all things Thai... Especially the food and eaten at dozens of Thai Restaurants I can say that no one compared to Red Sugar Cafe in Wakefield, MA! Their food is delicious from the 1st to the last nite, whether I'm dining in or getting to go they are always consistent. If you just "like" Thai Food then you will "LOVE" Red Sugar! p.s. Owners are Incredibly likable and friendly!
