We decided to go out for my husband birthday.
Our local pub was first choice but the night before we pop in and the food was terrible
So we decided to go to the Dilke instead.
The service was fabulous and all the staff were really chatty and friendly.
We ordered our food at the table along with drinks,which were bought over swiftly.
When the food arrived, it was nice and hot, and the portion size was a really good amount of food.
After our table was cleared, I paid the bill, and we were all happy as we were about to leave. Tam called my husband back and gave him a box of sweets and a card for his birthday.
What a fantastic touch to a great evening.

We haven't been to this pub for a while and I really don't know why, the food was delicious, great chilled atmosphere and the staff went above and beyond to please us. Very friendly and cared for all our needs. Thank you Tam, Sophie and Brandon the new guy, you are doing amazing. 😋

Nice place to have a meal probably go at least once a month, staff have always been good. Food is excellent never had a reason to moan. Just fell a bit sorry for the staff , the pub is on restricted hours 9pm, or 10 pm. To me indicates that the owners may be looking to sell. Shame, although the staff turn over seems high, everyone has always been polite, attentive and efficient. Occupies a large plot, never to busy , good access for wheelchairs. Could do with a little painting outside.

Come in most Fridays after work, barman is always good to me actually having a laugh with us, always seems clean and in a good location. Food is good too.

Me and my partner visited the dilke pub on Saturday for the first time recommended by my daughter and the meal was lovely & staff are woulderfull veary helpful, & pub is beautiful, we do fell the pub manger should think about lowering the food prices because thay are abit expensive & thay might get more customers if he did plus the out side of pub could do with a bit of painting done,

I almost cancelled my booking after reading some the reviews but I am so glad I gave the Dilke a chance. Our group of 7 was seated promptly, the staff were very pleasant and attentive, the food was exceptional - hats off to the chef! I tried the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection, we had a range of burgers, with great feedback and the kids meal with oven poppin chicken went down a treat. All of the desserts were delightful. The pub itself is sensibly arranged and clean with a calm ambiance. Price-wise I thought everything was reasonable for the quality and quantity. We all left with full bellies and in good spirits. Would recommend and we will return soon.

Took our little girl for a birthday tea, 16/07/23. Tammy's service was second to none, she went right out of her way to make the meal as special as possible. Couldn't have asked for better, we have an immensely happy girl! Thanks so much! ❤️
