Went here for a bite to eat and a drink with my son and his girlfriend. Lovely hot summers day. We sat outside. Ordered drinks at the bar then perused the menu. Ordered food. Service was good. The food arrived in about 15 mins. Food was well priced for what it was. Staff were polite and helpful.
Booked in for a family meal on Mother's Day. Pub is really nice inside, very clean, nice atmosphere with a lovely fire burning. Food and drinks were ordered at the table through the app and drinks came soon after with not much of a wait for the starters which were all lovely; serving staff were really pleasant. I ordered the Sunday Roast Duo for main meal so both turkey and beef with pigs in blankets, there was a good amount of tasty food but I did ask for more gravy which was brought to me promptly. The rest of family thought it was decent pub food but felt the vegetarian options were a little limited. Toilets were kept very clean. Overall a lovely meal out, would happily go again.
Really fast service and great food. We didn't book but they were really good about it. Ella served us, and was really friendly. Will come again.
The food was great. Some confusion with table booking. Our friends arrived earlier than me and they were placed at a table not reserved for me (Georgia), although my friend showed to the staff the confirmation email. Finally I saw my name displayed at another table when I arrived and we all moved to the table that was having my name and booking hour on it.
This Sunday, I brought my kids and husband out to eat out as a special treat. We were served a lovely duo roast by a lovely young lady by the name of Katia. I definitely recommend anyone else coming here to ask for her because she was very welcoming.
We came here on Sunday evening (22nd October). Food was good and the member of staff at the bar serving couldn't have been more helpful as we needed to ask for some changes to take account of diet. However... the place was freezing! We asked for heating to be put on but nothing changed. Looking round the pub, lots of people had kept coats or fleeces on. If the idea was to save money then it was a false economy as we had no intention of lingering for desserts or more drinks. The place was dead when we left at 8, and I suspect this was part of the reason.
Excellent. We went yesterday with a fairly large group. The food, service and staff were superb. They segregated an area for us and were helpful polite and welcoming. Top marks to them, and thanks from us all.
I have visited this place many times over the years, and I cannot fault it. If you’re looking for great pub food, then this is the place.
Staff are always friendly, service is quick and the food is just what you would expect…simple but good pub grub.
We managed to get a seat by the fire and it was a very cosy atmosphere with all of the Christmas decorations. It helps that the cleanliness standards are also high.
Pleasant and helpful service from ordering through to serving food. Food was good and tasty. I particularly appreciated the wide range of Real Ales.
Very nice food, very nice staff and a very clean pub. Roomie too, with enough space between tables to enjoy a personal conversation. I popped in for breakfast. There was a wide range to choose from, including Vegie and Vegan. I had Scrambled Egg on Toast. Very nice 👍. The Coffee was excellent. I had 2 cups and regretted it all the way back home, cross legged 😄. Speaking of loos, there's were very clean, like the rest of the pub. Excellent all round. I'll be back 😁👍😍
