Pizza Express

This has always been my favourite place for Pizza. Sadly the toppings are in decline and less and less is being put onto the pizza. Plenty of tomatoes but very little of anything else. This visit was my first to this actual restaurant and I will not visit this again. I will visit my local restaurant again.

We are staying in the Docklands area. Fancied a wander so caught the tube over to the O2. Found pizza express. It was empty and this was 6.30 on a Tuesday night .. Waitress very polite and friendly. She allowed us to sit anywhere we wanted as we was the only ones dining .. Drinks and good ordered within 5 mins of arriving . Drinks served then the Starter came out after a short wait. Hot and fresh. Once starters were cleared mains arrived within 5 mins. Again food was fresh and hot. Whilst dining a few more families came in. It was a lovely quiet meal for the 2 of us as we normally have kids in tow or friends. Great food and customer service. Would definitely return ..

Nice and friendly staff. The food was good and the service excellent. We celebrate our daughter birthday and the staff kept the cake in the fridge for us . They even make a joke and transfer it the cake on a big plate and seal the cake box empty. When my daughter opened the cake box, she find a blank paper with a note Thank you for the cake :)) And then they brought the cake on a nice plate. It was very good atmosphere. We had a great time there today .

The Assistant Manager Bonas is absolutely brilliant. When ordering off Deliveroo, we not only received cold food, but our daughter's children's meal was missing. The order left the restaurant hot, but did not arrive to ours for 30 minutes after the Deliveroo driver made multiple deliveries before us. While Deliveroo admitted they were short staff and had drivers make multiple deliveries in our area, they did not feel it was their responsibly to cover the cost of our meal, so that we could reorder warm food. They would only refund a credit for our daughter's meal, £2.50 for late delivery and 50% off our meal.Bonas wouldn't allow that to happen and made sure we received our order and supplied the food Deliveroo wouldn't refund. Not only did he complain on behalf of us to Deliveroo, he also called us multiple times to check in to ensure the issue was being dealt with. I highly recommend this restaurant and next time we will go in person, instead of wasting our time with Deliveroo.

We had a great family Saturday afternoon at this well run restaurant. The three of us all enjoyed our tasty, thin based, pizzas. I washed mine down with a good malbec. What really made it such a great visit, and has made me take the time to write this review, was the great, friendly, efficient service from the happy staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere! If we are in the area again we'll be back! Keep up the great work!
