Beautiful setting, lovely welcoming staff, loved the doggy friendly vibe and relaxed bar area. We sat in the conservatory and the food was excellent, great menu and food all served promptly. Very reasonable and overall I would highly rate this pub as a great place to eat and drink. We met friends as a Half-way point. We'll do it again for sure.

Very attentive staff. We had Ham Hock and Pea Salad to stray, which arrived promptly and was delicious. I had the very generously sized Swordfjsh Nicoise, grilled to perfection, not too dry. We were offered the desert menu, but we’re too full! Great menu, lovely food, good service. I’ll definitely be back!!!

When you think of lovely pubs set in the countryside. Take your dog for a walk along the canal and then sit down for a couple of pints. Tom o the wood ticks every box. Situated off the old Warwick road next to the canal. This beautiful country pub isn’t just set in a great location the food they serve is as good as the views. From sandwiches for lunch and Sunday roasts and the evening meal they really do have you coming back for more. We don’t go fare away with out our beautiful lab honey so finding places that cater for our furry family is a must, (there’s even a menu for dogs). We have eaten lunch and Sunday dinners here before but this was our first time for evening meal. We shared a starter onion Bhaji with a sticky chilli dip. It was so nice. Probably the best I have tasted. (See empty plate pic) for mains I had the homemade steak and kidney pudding and the good lady had fish and chips. My pudding was so old school pudding with lovely gravy and creamy mash. Ticked every flavor box. The fish was cooked in a thin batter so not to stodgy it was really home cooked food. When you walk away from a place looking forward to the next meal there you no it’s a great place. Real time is taken to make you feel welcome. When you live in bham it’s a bit escape the rat race enjoy lovely food and relax next to the water. With your best friend who will also have met a few new friends too. Great job guys and would recommend to others. No to many tho 🤣🤣🤣

Just came off the boat for a quick lunch time pint but was tempted to have a bite to eat after seeing the food being served. We had Fresh mussels and Gambas Pil Pil both excellent and mains a lovely pork chop with best mash I have had outside London. The beefburger was very tasty served with proper chips and salad all washed down with nice ale. Nice atmosphere with locals driving to get a lovely lunch in a great setting. Price was very good for the quality of service and food. More boaters who appreciate good food and atmosphere should pull in.

I very much enjoyed my meal. I had the arancini and the pie. Highly enjoyable. The menu was varied with a few vegetarian options available if i wished. Service was quick, which always helps and a reasonable price for a weekend lunchtime. It is a dog friendly place with a canal walk available next to it. Well worth a visit.

Lovely pub and we had a very good roast dinner here on Sunday. The meat was fantastic, and the potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were too. I was a little disappointed by the limited amount of veg, but the extra side of cauliflower cheese was tasty. The cheesecake was very enjoyable for dessert, but the meringue in my partners Eton mess did have a slightly burned taste to it. We also found the conservatory very loud - but that’s probably unavoidable on a busy day!

Nice staff. Not bad prices but the chips were poor. They tasted as though they had been pre cooked then warmed up. Pity.

Excellent venue. With great staff to compliment it. Food was fantastic, Sunday dinner was perfect with beef cooked to perfection. The guest beer was bloody lovely church farm pale ale. Not had a good kip for years like the good old days. Infact i didn't eat again till breakfast & could have easily skipped it. My 1st time here for a father's day family treat & will be coming here more often most definitely. Ps Theo the dog loved his complimentary Sunday lunch which wasn't expected but very welcome. Thanks for a great experience. 10/10

Travelling on the canal we moored and took drinks and an evening meal here. Good service and nice hearty food. Being a little absent minded I left some money and a credit card behind. The staff very helpfully took care of the situation and sent everything back to me.

We tried to book Saturday for a Sunday lunch on Father's Day. Not surprisingly they were fully booked. We walked from our boat to the pub for a drink and Charlie, at front of house, welcomed us with the news of a cancellation and the table for 2 was ours. What a welcome, what a place and OMG the food was excellent. The scotch egg starter is gorgeous, the Sunday roast (beef) was delicious (rare of course!) and the sticky toffee pudding, mmmmm! Charlie and Chris (chef) are awesome. Welcoming, professional, hard working and very, very accommodating. Oh, and BTW, totally dog friendly, inside and out. Great place. Book early.

My go-to canalside country pub. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and fab food. Super dog-friendly but also has a lovely restaurant for those who aren’t too keen on furry friends. Also has a nice, large beer garden.
