Hadn’t been before and decided to try it out, and I’m so glad we did! And very disappointed not to have discovered it sooner! We were greeted by a super friendly member of staff and were waited on by a few different people who were all lovely, smiley and polite and had great knowledge of the menu! We agreed it was the best customer service we’d ever had anywhere. Wish we’d got the name of our main waitress because she was so lovely and so attentive. Atmosphere in the restaurant was also great, lovely vibe. The drinks arrived quickly and so did the food - it was all timed perfectly between our courses so we didn’t feel rushed but we also weren’t waiting around feeling like we’d been forgotten!! The food arrived presented beautifully and was all absolutely incredible, piping hot, fantastic portion size and so delicious, nicest stuff we’ve eaten in ages, certainly our best pub meal ever - and all very reasonably priced considering the quality! I never review things we’ve been to but it was just such a wonderful experience that I couldn’t not! Everything was also very clean and dust free which is always great and sadly not always the case in some places! Already planning another visit soon and it’s going to be our new “go-to” pub when we have friends and family visiting. We visited for Sunday lunch and from start to finish we were well looked after. Fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service from a waitress who remembers us from each visit. Very good menu and lovely food which improves every time. We were seated next to a roaring log fire on a cold damp day, which really lifted our spirits. Nearly all the bill for 4 of us was paid using Tesco vouchers. This place gets better all the time. We are looking forward to our next meal.

Attended recemtly for a Family Birthday Meal, quick service and staff very friendly and helpful. Very cosy feeling inside the pub andade to feel welcome.
Food was fresh, well presented and very tasty, kids meals were great too and a reasonable price for 2 appropriate portion sizes.
Recommend the Chicken and Ham Hock Pie it was fantastic, along with the Smoothered Chicken.
Will return again.

Went for a meal with friends, From the start, we felt welcomed by the lovely Sue. The atmosphere was cosy and cheerful. The food was also amazing. Different price ranges to suit all pockets and the variety of the menu was simple through to something different. We will be back and hope to be served by the lovely Sue again. She made the visit. So different to other pubs in the area.

Pub itself is great. Excellent breakfasts. However, the attached rooms and bathroom are very shabby and in need of an update. Having said that the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed for bed and breakfast. Dined in restaurant one night, food ok, my lasagne a bit dry. Room was clean and good size, but no toilet role, noise from passing traffic a bit of a problem, breakfast was excellent.

Room was adequate. Had a bit of a weird smell. (Maybe a smoker had been before). But for the money was perfectly fine and we slept well.

We stayed here for one night to break up our journey...all the staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant was really cosy and clean. The food was delicious... would definitely recommend.
