Stonewood Grill & Tavern

This disappointing experience was a surprise. We've dined at Stonewood since it opened. We had the pretzel bread and Bleu cheese chips as appetizers and both were very good. The entrees were where the hell went downhill. The chicken pot pie was delicious, as always. The scallops and shrimp were also good. But... The Tuscan chicken was dry, the green beans undercooked and overly peppery, and the potato medley was, for lack of a better word, just gross. You could basically taste grease and nothing else. Our server, Laurie, was excellent. She brought a pot pie to replace the Tuscan chicken and had the kitchen cook a new side of green beans which were better but about half still tasted not cooked enough. We spoke to the manager who explained that there have been supply issues and they're using a brand of potato that they don't normally use and they aren't as good as what they have used in the past. She offered another meal, but still seemed annoyed to be having the conversation. The overall experience was poor and we are not likely to return there soon, if at all. Given what Stonewood charges for the good, the experience really should be better.

1st time here and the dining experience was good 🙂 We went on a Saturday evening and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. We were okay with that. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated (we took first available and ended up sitting inside). I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with asparagus and corn risotto with a Blackberry Crush (Blackberry Mojito). My husband ordered the Pork Chop and a Maple Old Fashioned. The drinks were exactly what we expected (tasty) 🙂 and our meals were delicious. Pricing is on the expensive side for most people but the food is well worth it. We will be back!

Made reservations for New Years Eve (9pm). The seating was outdoors. The outdoor seating was a mess. No one wiped our table down. We had no napkins/silverware. There was no white tablecloth. A total mess. Just sloppy. What we ordered: 1. Buffalo Bleu Cheese Shrimp 2. Southern Fried Shrimp 3. Shrimp and Scallops 4. Ceasar Salad What we liked: 1. All except # 4 The shrimp and scallops were good, but the sides were awful. The bread was off, but I was so hungry I ate them. The alcohol in the Mojito was bad. The drink had no taste and you could not taste the alcohol. The rice was dry. The salad looked like slop. Absolutely won’t come back. Best of luck to those that do.

Visiting this establishment in the early evening of 4.21.22 was the only BAD memory on a otherwise perfect day (my birthday). I ordered wings and fries for my husband and was doing curbside pickup. I waited in my car for ~30-35 minutes. I walked inside to see not one but two young ladies standing engaged in conversation at the "greeting/welcome stand" I informed them that I had been sitting in my car and since no one came out to me I decided to come in to pick up my food. I was asked my name and discovered that my food was sitting on a table, for who knows how long. I asked to speak with the manager, I think her name was Leslie, what a mistake that was. I explained to her what happened and she basically said "Sorry, we are short staffed like every other business is. Seriously...... I was very disappointed at this reply. I should have known better than to give this establishment another chance, the last two were not great either. I get home and guess what...... the food was COLD! I know I only spent 18.62 but that was money I could have spent elsewhere for I'm sure better service.

It was a toss up, 1 or 2 stars. Pleasant outside venue. Limited menu. Slow service. Five people in our party and only one was satisfied with the meal served. Despite several requested corrections, manager did not approach the table until meal's end. Overpriced for what you are getting. Will not return.

I ordered the clam chowder and Asian chicken salad through grubhub. The clam chowder was very good. Came with oyster crackers. I'd get that again. The Asian chicken salad was tasty however the chicken was tough and chewy. A tad over cooked. The raw pea pods were not edible But I liked the dressing and the noodles were a good addition.
