A gorgeous little coffee shop and gin bar with tasty cake options too. They are dog friendly, have wifi, take card and they play chilled covers of older songs which was nice. The owner is super friendly and we would go again.

I can see why this is so highly rated on here. It has a nice high-end vibe but with out a sense of pretentiousness. The prices are very reasonable and it is clear that the owners have a passion and understanding of the coffee and cafe business. The cappuccino was beautifully made and just the right temperature. The blueberry muffin was delicious and literally broke away in the mouth.
Other than the fact there is a resident canine (and I'm NOT a dog fan) but it was just sleeping peacefully away from customers so no real issue. When back in Weymouth I will certainly be back again Insha'Allah.

If you are looking for quality coffee, food and environment. Here’s the place.
The staff here are so friendly!
10/10 will come back.
I ordered the Smoked Salmon Stack, but requested to swap out the salmon for bacon.
Bacon was so good, it was the ENTIRE avocado as well, with toasted sourdough and butter. Yogurt by the side.
Awesome.

One of the two decent coffee shops in town, they do awesome bagels, dog friendly very rustic industrial, George is just adorable, this business is an example of what Weymouth really could and should become.

It's called 1652 for two reasons
1652 was the year coffee first came to the uk through weymouth
And its also the time that it turns from a coffee bar to a gin bar each day

Long weekend in Weymouth, 6 of us have been here 1-2x, three days in a row. Friendly staff, excellent, smooth and strong coffee. Massive rum and gin selection too. Support a decent local independent, you'll be glad you did. There were no dogs there when we visited...

Loved this little place. Very funky decor and a great vibe about it. Had several wonderful lattes with different syrups and also tried a great tasting gin from their selection.
Staff were attentive and friendly to a t which made it feel laid back and a great place to relax.

The best latte we have had and we’ve had lots all over the world. What a gem of a business, the cafe has a lovely atmosphere and the service was top notch. We cannot recommend 1652 highly enough, hopefully we will be back and next time we’ll be sampling the wonderful looking cakes as well.

Spent a lovely relaxing half hour here with the dogs (yes, they are dog friendly!), only drinking coffee and eating bacon rolls, well my husband had the bacon roll, I just had coffee. Would certainly recommend this as a very pleasant place to visit and will certainly return! Well done everybody and good luck for the future.

Googled best coffee shops in Weymouth prior to our oct half term visit. What a lovely little find! Fab unusual decor, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff & a really nice coffee! I’m a Gin lover too & was impressed with the menu! When visiting Weymouth again, we will definitely go back!

Down for a few days visiting friends in Weymouth and started one evening on the extensive gin menu - excellent local gins and cocktails made by friendly, relaxed staff resulted in a fabulous evening. When we went back the next day and had knock out Italian bean coffee and cheese & jalapeño bagels filled with fried egg and bacon... let's say they deserve an 11/10! Great place, great guys, great time

The best place to sit and relax in a calm environment, amazing range of Bagels which I am working my way through and fab coffee. Added bonus of my dog coming with me and made to feel so welcome, this place just has it right.

Great atmosphere, genuinely relaxed and cool place to eat and drink. Unlike big chains it's got a really personal feel. I drove 2hrs for a bagel. Defo worth it!
