Just been again....
And managed too eat three plates of food..
Smaller portions than before ,learnt a valuable lesson.
And I couldn't believe it again it only came too £15.
When I say only if your a female of four that is still a hefty amount but compared too any other carvery where they put the two slices of meat on your plate and that's it's.
The waiters are so very attentive ,compared too when I worked on the liners plying their trade across the Atlantic too new York.you were lucky yo get a clean tablecloth and you was paying the earth too travel .
But theses waiters are on the ball and as usual if your a glutton your regret it later..
I'm going for a long walk of a short pier .
Hopefully I'm going too Portland bill for a bit of fresh air and exercise...thankgod .
The bill was £15..
And that included the coffee.
For such a large space, you have a small but delicious buffet selection.
To be honest I was a little concerned when we went for dinner. The buffet service looked pretty small and I wonder how they would cope when full booked. Thankfully, only a handful of happy dinners where in with us.
Despite the limited selection, the taste is spot on. Every dish was unique and you could see the chefs preparing each dish in the open plan kitchen. Food was replenished almost continuously and thre quality is way ahead of a lot of other buffets.
The only let down was the desert and single vat of half empty vanilla ice cream and a few portions of fruit on the salad bar.
So go for the main meals. In particular the Nepalese hot counter with delicious regional curries. Best of the best and the other hot plates are yummy too 😋

A nice place to eat with a good view.
And it was quite affordable, basically you eat beyond what you paid for and the food is quite nice with varieties.
We were welcomed at the door, I informed the staff member that I am gluten free, he showed me around the buffet showing me what I could not eat 👍
The food was all delicious, especially the Gurkha chicken curry 💝
Outside could do with a little TLC but everything else was fabulous. Was busier than expected at 6pm but food was superb.
Thoroughly enjoyable and tasty - only criticism is that there was only vanilla ice cream afterwards to clean the palette. Let’s have some chocolate sauce, at least. Or different flavours, or another pudding. Sad ending for me!
All you can eat buffet in a very unique location. Styled like a boat moored on the river it's easy to spot from all around.
Food was pretty good and there was a large choice of dishes available. Some of the dishes were a bit lacking, like the prawn toast being more like sesame toast. But some dishes are very good, like the Gurkha lamb.
The kitchen is visible when walking to the toilets and it was very messy, probably a given considering how quickly they have to refill the buffet, but could be improved with some diligence.
The price was the best I've seen for a buffet in a long while. Definitely get your money's worth after just a few plates.
ALL YOU CAN EAT ORIENTAL BUFFET
(Dinner £13.99 an adult, WOW..)
Oh my... this really is the BEST place to eat in Weymouth.. It was SOOOOO... GOOD we even returned to Weymouth the following day, purely to eat here again..
This is a really interesting place.. the BUFFET restaurant is a floating platform which resembles a boat on the waterway along from Weymouth Harbour. There is seating both inside and outside, either at the front or on the waterside.
Loved the fact that the kitchen was open, on full view; the staff were so friendly and working hard constantly.
The buffet options were amazing, including Chinese, Thai, Indian & Nepalese.. My favourites had to be; The Crispy Aromatic Duck with Pancakes, Prawn Crackers and all of the Chicken dishes... AMAZING..
The price also includes ice cream, now the tubs of ice cream looked cheap.. but we really enjoyed it. There was also fruit options to add if you fancied. (Or you could pay extra for different dessert)
The drinks selection was also very good at reasonable prices.. pint of draught beer £4.50 / can of Guinness £3.50.. (We stuck with water on the second visit in order to enjoy the food more)
I really wanted to rate this as a 5*, as I did LOVE IT and would return however I do need to mention the 'Elephant in the room'... The occasional smell of stagnant water lingered.. Now this odour was not so repulsive to put us off eating, but I do wonder whether it gets worse in warmer weather.. perhaps an area that needs to be looked into?
Overall.. AMAZING, FANTASTIC and STUPENDOUS... Recommend, Recommend, Recommend.... Great food, lovely staff, good service, unique building with interesting themed features within and Great value for money...
Good value all you can eat with a good Sunday lunch option too. Great for kids to explore new flavours! Very friendly staff and good to see it still going strong after many years since our last visit.
For £12 I thought it was good value. However a pint of Magners was 5.99. I'd never been here but luckily I was with someone who had been. As I felt a little lost but apparently we could go up whenever to get our food. Its a nice restaurant and I will be coming back again just wish their was a little more guidance from the staff.
