Laura and Ben I cannot believe I have not reviewed you guys yet! You saved my life today with lunch I honestly though I was going to collapse if I didn't have a java fix! Top food, top service, top cafe! So glad it is on my doorstep! Keep up the excellent work guys! The additions to the menu are fabulous �
Quite possibly the best all round meal I've ever had, I had the chicken, pesto and mozzarella panini after craving a panini for the whole week in Whitby, it came with the best salad and coleslaw I've ever had. Safe to say it'll be my go to Cafe every single time I'm up this way! Can't wait to try the breakfast before heading off home tomorrow!
Lovely little place for a snacks and drinks. First time visiting and we are really impressed! Staff lovely and helpful, food and drinks reasonably priced and what we had was delicious! Would highly recommend the nachos, huge portion (easily enough for 2 to share) and plenty of cheese! My hot chocolate was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, loved the little pumpkin 🎃 marshmallows! Will definitely be coming back, would highly recommend 😊
The pancakes could've been bigger. I get the feeling they're not homemade but I may be wrong. Staff were friendly and the cappuccino was lovely.
The Full English breakfast is truly amazing - very high quality ingredients and freshly cooked to order. I swapped the black pudding for the roasted vegetables, which were very tasty. It was probably one of the best full English I have ever had! The coffee was also superb. I would definitely go back and recommend to everyone!
We visited Java on a Thursday lunchtime and got a seat upstairs. The interior is fantastic and looks like it has been created by someone off the BBC’s ‘Interior Design Masters’ show with funky wallpaper and trendy colour scheme.
We ordered two lattes which were reasonably priced and tasted delicious - I love that they come with a Lotus biscuit too: always a nice touch.
The only strange thing was that the loyalty card they have is only for takeaways and not for sit ins. Also, when we arrived, our table was dirty. I went downstairs and asked if there was a cloth I could use to clean it (expecting the employee to offer to pop up and clean it for me), but she handed me a cloth to clean it myself. But this wasn’t a major issue (happy to help out), and I would definitely return because the coffee was so good.
Amazing pumpkin 🎃 marshmallows when we visited as it was October, my daughter said the hot chocolate was great and the coffee is a lovely blend. Service was excellent and very friendly, they remembered that I raved about said marshmallows and gave me one! All in all lovely coffee shop.
Very nice cafe. A warm and friendly welcome with staff who can't do enough for customers. The food is reasonably priced and tastes amazing. The bacon is divine! A clearly popular cafe and well worth the visit.
Note: toilets are upstairs so may be difficult for some.
A little gem of a place, breakfast was delicious, well presented, generous portions and quality products. Service was polite, friendly and warm. Nice ambience and the best coffee I've ever tasted!
Excellent food staff friendly and dogs allowed..overall a must to visit
