Wonderful 500 year old pub in the heart of historic Winchcombe. Handy for visiting the town including shops, restaurants, and other pubs in the town. Within walking distance of the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway. Our landlady Liz welcomed us and couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. Had a two night stay here with 4 friends and we spent two wonderful, convivial evenings with hostess Liz in the old, atmospheric bar trying the well kept real ales, whiskies and other drinks and becoming firm friends with Liz in the process. Earlier we'd enjoyed sitting in the very pleasant beer garden. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Liz cooked us very tasty breakfasts to our choice each day. Highly recommended, especially if you would enjoy staying in a traditional and historic pub.

A great traditional 500 year old pub with an amazing garden and luckily run by a gem of a landlady called Liz who couldn’t do enough for us. Liz was a great hostess to us, I just wished one of us knew how to play the piano!

What a great pub. Stopped for 2 nights with pals. The landlady, Liz was welcoming and friendly. She went out of her way for us and nothing was too much trouble. Great food and such an historic pub. All five of us had a fantastic stay. Liz has a great sense of humour and is fantastic company. We are already planning our next trip back. The pub is a gem and Liz is a diamond.

Had a 2 night stay at this establishment. The landlady, Liz, welcomed us on our arrival and showed us our rooms and was extremely helpful. We spent our second day on the Gloucestershire steam railway and Liz ran us to Winchcombe Station (2 journeys for her). The rooms were clean and functional and I spent 2 very peaceful nights. Full English breakfast was served in the morning. I would highly recommend The Plaisterers Arms.

This pub is an absolute gem! We were served by Liz who has a warm and welcoming Irish manner. She was attentive and made us feel at home. We decided to sit right by the bar to speak to her as she was very funny. We had beef brisket baps for lunch. I’m not exaggerating when I say that they were the best baps I’ve ever had. What really made our visit to this pub extra special was that Liz offered to give us all a lift to the station as it had started to rain. She closed the pub leaving one of the regulars inside to keep watch and whisked us away. If you’re in Winchcombe make sure you head to the plaisterers arms…you won’t regret it!

We visited on a Saturday lunch and could not rate this pub any higher. The landlady (Liz) was an absolute gem, her Irish humour and hospitality was perfect. The food we had, Beef brisket baps, were the best we have ever tasted. This pub is a gem in Winchcombe. To top our experience, Liz took us to the station given the inclement weather, our hero! X

Called in at the Plasterers Arms for lunch on Saturday. We'd surveyed a few other lunch spots in Winchcombe and this looked to have to easiest menu, obviously not mass-produced, with local produce. We sat outside in the sunshine and were well-served by the staff. The food was brilliant. A lamb suet pudding with a delicious selection of spring vegetables. Chocolate tart to follow. Good selection of beer on tap. What a gem!
