We love this place. In fact, I grew up in this place. Literally in the pub. My parents ran it once upon a time. It’s the kind of place you want to come after a nice, long walk, to sit, chat, & laugh with friends. To have a well-earned meal and a few drinks while the rest of the day, or night, slips by. There’s a LOT of history and a lot of love in this pub. Highly recommended.

Visited these premises tge night before attending a local wedding. The bar area was nicely decorated, and the owner had put on food for wedding guests. The chilli was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely stay, host was amazing, turned up late after a hard days work, told us not to worry, get showered up, and come down when you’re ready. Beautiful freshly cooked dinner too and a lovely drop of ale.

Love this little place - a friendly welcome to a lovely no-frills village pub, great value with good unpretentious food, delivered to our table outside in the sun really quickly. Set in the beautiful village of Easton near Winchester, it's not too far from the city but far enough to definitely be in the countryside.
We'll be back ... very soon 🙂 Got to try out the Knickerbocker glory next time!!

An interesting and very traditional country pub. Highly reccomend it. Not the pubs fault, but watch out for the pompous a*hole customer with round glasses, a plethora of lanyards around his neck and a patriarchal tendency towards misogyny. Avoid ghat guy, probay like all well thinking locals do. Pubs great though, especially bar person Amber.. Give it a try!

Polite staff and a tidy old-fashioned pub with a wide range of beers and ales available!
Great-sized courtyard garden to the front of the pub fenced in to keep four-legged animals in!
Love a neck oil pint so always happy to see them available on draft
