Had a few meals here now and all of them having been absolutely fantastic. Staff are super friendly and attentive; decor is wonderful and the food and drink is excellent: best oriental food I’ve had in the UK. Also reasonably priced for the quality of the food and service. Make sure you book in advance as it is very popular.

No.1 choice for dinner in Winchester. Hands down. Flavourful, amazing food in a beautiful setting. We have eaten here many, many times & always had a delicious meal & wonderful experience. There is so much creativity & consideration behind the menu, which has key favourites alongside seasonal updates so there’s always something new to try. Highlights: mushroom bao & Nicole’s lime iced tea (or martini). The service is friendly & attentive. Thank you in particular to the host, James, who has made us feel welcome since we first started eating Lucky Lychee in 2021.

Visited here last night for my sons 25th birthday. What can I say? Just the cocktail list alone was enough, very friendly and professional staff. The food was delicious. The service was excellent The ambience was great. We just had a really good evening. The two table staff that looked after us were pretty much next level. The one member of staff, his attention was spot on. Always asked if more drinks were required at the right moments, he was very knowledgeable about the dishes, what he thought of them what his favourite dishes were. He actually engaged with us and made the whole evening very enjoyable. We live about 45mins from this restaurant but came on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be returning

Truly Winchester’s hidden gem. What is better than a cozy, well-designed pub with fantastic drinks and an authentic Malaysian menu? Always amazing!

The quality and flavour of the food is exceptional, we really enjoyed everything we ordered. The service and staff were top notch and there is a lovely ambiance about the venue. Portion sizes are a bit hit and miss between the different dishes. We had a table of 5 sharing so it would be quite good to pay a supplement to up the QTY of some of the individual dishes so we had a portion each. (eg spring rolls, skewers, toasts, etc) This is more constructive feedback than criticism. Will 110% return !

I absolutely love this place! We'd enjoyed several takeaways from Lucky Lychee when they were based at the Mucky Duck, but dining-in in their new home, The Green Man, is even better. The food is superb, bringing back so many happy memories of travelling in Malaysia, whilst also bringing in other Asian influences. My top picks would be the white wonton laksa and Chinese meat pies, but you literally can't go wrong anywhere on the menu. One of the best things about the new location is the drinks menu. Thoughtfully curated cocktails and a cracking wine list - if you're into natural wine, orange wine or anything just a little bit unusual, you're in for an absolute treat! The overall decor and ambience is also spot-on - they've kept all the best features from the previous ownership, while adding their own personal touches. The atmosphere was really buzzy when we arrived and lovely and relaxed when we left. We didn't feel at all hurried, despite being one of the last couples to leave. Can't wait to go back!
