This spot is a must visit. It is easily in the top 1% of Cafe’s in the world.
My Girlfriend and I kept going back because everything on the menu needed to be tasted! She’s Vegan and there are tonnes of options.
On top of the top quality food, the staff are fantastic.
There are zero faults here and don’t be put off if there is a queue at the door because it’s more than worth it.
The nicest brunch spot in Windermere. Most people head to Bowness for food but this Homeground Coffee + Kitchen shouldn’t be overlooked.
It’s reasonably priced and has that family run feel.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating.
We had an oat latte and a mocha. For food I’d highly recommend the Homeground Sarnie and French Toast!

You can’t book a table here and dogs are not allowed inside apart from assistance dogs…if you fancy breakfast and don’t like querying, they seem to be quieter up until just before 10am.

The food here is amazing, with everything fresh and unique. The crispy bread is a real winner! The food tastes just as good as it looks. Definitely try the freshly squeezed juice! Big thanks for gluten free options (there are more that the online menu indicates). The only downside is it’s a tad expensive.
We had breakfast at this lovely café. The food, tea and coffee, and friendly service. Everything was great! We didn’t know that it is highly rated but we surely agree with favorable reviews. Definitely recommended!

I really liked this cafe in rural England (probably one of the best I’ve been to!). We had the avocado and egg toast, the falafel bowl and the bacon sarnie. They were all delicious and fresh. The carrot cake could be better but that’s a personal preference. They had plenty of homemade sweets
Probably the best brunch I’ve ever had in the UK so far. Literally every dish is sooooo delicious, from the bread, sauce, ingredients, all tasty and fresh. The coffee was very good, same price as London but a much larger cup. Only one thing to notice is that they only accept walk in so be prepared for a queue. We queued about 30-40 mins on Sunday morning. And remember to check the kitchen closed time as they only take the order after you get a table.
Visited Homeground Coffee during a trip to the Lake District for our Anniversary. We stumbled upon this place whilst wondering around Windemere and WOW! The food was wonderful, the team were friendly and the coffee was the best around. Would definitely visit again! I had the Homeground sandwich and my wife had the 'Eggs Benny,' which came with ham hock and hollandaise sauce. The best we've ever had.
Must visit breakfast place when visiting Windermere. Simple but amazing menu, excellent quality and cozy sitting. Loved it!!
We stopped by Windermere for lunch on the way back down to London and came across this cafe which looked quite popular with locals and tourists. Decided to give it a try and the food was great. Reasonably priced for what you get. Great atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Would recommend their hash browns.
