Brickmakers Arms

I have marked down on atmosphere simply because it was so noisy. The place was buzzing and vibrant. And this was a Wednesday lunchtime! Food delicious. Staff attentive. But being hard of Hearing it was difficult for me to have a comfortable conversation with my fellow diners sadly. Next time we book I will request a quiet corner.

Went back here after two years - before the it was an excellent place but suddenly it changed and we stopped visiting. However, read a few comments recently and certainly the place is back and the standard is superb. The food, the service and the treatment were excellent and thanks to the staff particularly Michelle who looked after us. A big thanks to her for the friendly service. I had the lamb which was not as expected hence the 4* for food but other members of my party were very pleased with the food. Keep it going.

The latest owners have done an amazing refit that has returned the original charm to the pub. The menu has a great selection and suited us as vegetarians. The beer was perfect, a pint of the local Hogs Back Tea. Having lived in the 3 villages area for 25 years, it's great to have the Brickies back and still dog-friendly in the bar.

Kudos to the kitchen team who delivered a very tasty meal!! We went for a light lunch and with for the smoked salmon, veggi croquettes and some chips. The smoked salmon was out of this world, so tasty!! And the croquettes and chips were just the you wanted them. The decor of the place is nice and helps providing a good vibe. If I was in the area again, I would come back without a doubt!
